Helikon-Tex Alpha Hoodie Grid Fleece - Olive Green

My favorite fleece. The hood may feel a bit tight, but this allows you to wear, for example, a helmet or a bike helmet over it when extra insulation for the head is needed. The patches on the shoulders started to 'rust' from the sun after three years of use. Other than that, there are no major signs of wear, even though it was used quite intensively (with a chest rig, in bushes, in winter, etc.).

Super fleece. Softer than the regular Alpha and, in my opinion, more comfortable. I feel like there’s a mistake in the sizing description. I have three Alpha fleeces without hoods and they’re the same size. All in all, this is my tenth Helikon fleece. Alpha is for warmer days or in winter under a jacket. In windless weather, I wore it at minus 2 degrees with a thermal shirt underneath. The fleece is light and very comfortable. I've been using the regular Alpha for two years now, wash it often and nothing happens, it doesn't stretch out or fade. I consider Helikon fleeces to be among the best.

Helikon - this is already the second fleece from this brand I own. Previously, I bought the Patriot for colder days, though this one is also warm—paired with a softshell, it's a bomb set. 180 cm, 103 kg, size XL fits just right.

Super fleece for the transitional period, another one from this series in my wardrobe. Functional pockets, intuitively placed. Velcro panels allow you to attach your favorite morale patch.

The fleece is thin. Without an inner lining. This brand runs one size smaller (compared to M-Tac). The quality of tailoring and materials is good. For this money, it's better to buy the "standard army" fleece from the same manufacturer.

Great fleece. Interesting material. Very nice pockets. After a year, I discovered there's a tiny pocket inside the chest pocket. Unfortunately, it's too thin alone for cold, windy days. Extra protection is needed. This isn't a flaw. I was just surprised it's cooler than a regular Decathlon sweatshirt. Not meant as the outer layer for wind and cold. Overall great, but for warmer days. I recommend it.

Fantastic as an additional fleece for the 'regular' Helikon Alpha Tactical I already own. In this variant, it has an extra hood and reinforcements on the elbows and shoulders. I also feel like it's slightly longer when worn.

I just bought a second sweatshirt just like this, only in a different color... you can never have too many good, proven things. I am satisfied with the purchase. It serves well on cold and windy days during trips. I recommend it!!!
