Helikon-Tex Anorak Tracer PolyCotton Stretch Rip-Stop Jacket IRR - wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland

A tactical jacket with a loose fit in wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland camouflage, designed for women and men for use in forest terrain and everyday wear. The construction is made of PolyCotton Stretch Rip-Stop fabric with IRR/NIR technology, which ensures high mechanical durability and reduced detectability under night vision. The model is equipped with 5 functional pockets arranged to work with a tactical vest or battle belt, a YKK half-zip main zipper and side zippers.

220 g/m2 fabric, reinforced with Rip-Stop weave, IRR/NIR technology

The main fabric with a grammage of 220 g/m2 is a blend of 50% polyester, 48% cotton and 2% elastane, providing optimal breathability, abrasion resistance and stretch to make movement with accouterment easier. The Rip-Stop weave used increases the durability of the fabric structure and protects it from further tearing in the event of mechanical damage. The applied IRR/NIR technology (Near Infrared / Infrared Reflective) means that the material reflects and absorbs near-infrared radiation to a degree similar to the natural forest background, effectively reducing the contrast of the silhouette in night vision devices.

5 functional pockets

The model is equipped with 5 practical pockets:

  • two shoulder pockets - closed with zippers, easily accessible also when wearing a tactical vest or backpack, intended for carrying small pieces of equipment,
  • large front pocket - a spacious kangaroo-type main compartment equipped with three internal organiser pockets for arranging small accessories and an additional pocket located above it adapted for carrying e.g. a prismatic compass,
  • pass-through pocket - located directly below the main compartment, fastened with two zippers on the sides, used to warm the hands during a stop or to carry gloves and a cap.

adjustable hood, side opening, fit adjustment

The design includes a roomy, fully helmet-compatible hood with 3-stage adjustment and a visor stiffened with foam, which protects the face from precipitation and wind without restricting the field of view. Full-length opening zippers are placed on the sides of the jacket, making it easier to put the garment on and take it off quickly while also serving as efficient side ventilation. The fit can be precisely adjusted to the body and insulating layers using waist adjustment, a drawstring at the bottom of the jacket and cuffs with drawstrings adjustable with velcro, while the elbow area is protected with additional fabric reinforcements.

YKK main fastening

The main fastening is a short half-zip zipper from the Japanese brand YKK, which allows efficient thermal regulation around the neck and easy access to equipment.

velcro panels

Velcro panels are placed on the shoulders for attaching identification emblems, formation patches or Morale Patches.

wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland camouflage

The wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland camouflage pattern is currently used by the Polish Armed Forces. It was the first camouflage pattern designed and introduced into widespread use in the Third Polish Repubic. The 1993 pattern combines mimetic and deforming properties through the use of irregular spots of various sizes. The color scheme, based on green, brown, and black, has been adapted to the conditions of Polish forests, making "Pantera" a good choice for operations in the native terrain. Uniforms in this camouflage pattern are also part of the basic equipment for students of Military Uniform Classes.

IRR feature
IRR

Materials with IRR (Infrared Reflective) properties are designed to maximize the absorption and minimize the mission of infrared radiation, which is important for camouflage and avoiding detection by observation devices such as night vision devices.

YKK zippers feature
YKK zippers

YKK zippers are high-quality zippers commonly used in clothing and accessories, manufactured by the Japanese YKK Corporation - one of the world's largest zipper manufacturers.

Rip-Stop feature
Rip-Stop

Rip-Stop weave protects the fabric from abrasions and tears. It is characterized by additional threads woven in at regular intervals, forming a mesh-like pattern. It provides high strength to the fabric, increases resistance to mechanical damage, especially tears.

NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) feature
NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance)
NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) is a material property of controlled reflection of radiation in the near-infrared (780-2500 nm) range, used primarily in tactical clothing and equipment. NIR-treated fabrics are designed to reduce the thermal emission and reflection of IR radiation, allowing the material's surface temperature to be kept close to ambient. This reduces the risk of detection of the wearer by electronic-optical surveillance systems, including night vision and infrared sensors. NIR technology significantly improves the effectiveness of camouflage in combat and low-light conditions.
PolyCotton Stretch feature
PolyCotton Stretch
PolyCotton Stretch is a modern fabric that is a combination of cotton and polyester with the addition of elastic fibers, most often elastane. Such a set combines the breathability and softness of cotton with the durability and resilience of polyester and elasticity that provides freedom of movement. This material is pleasant to the touch, dries faster than pure cotton, creases less and fits better.
