Ultra-light hat crafted from 220 g/m2 fabric. Rip-Stop reinforcement provides exceptional resistance to tearing or fraying, even if the material sustains localized damage. Owing to the blended materials and ergonomic design, the hat is ideal for both daily wear and demanding outdoor or survival scenarios.

Rip-Stop

Rip-Stop weave, Reflective layer

Crafted from a combination of polyester, cotton, and elastane, the hat boasts quick-drying properties and ultralight construction. Durable Rip-Stop woven threads create a robust mesh that enhances fabric strength and halts the progression of tears or abrasions.

A reflective layer is integrated into the interior, enabling the hat to serve as an emergency visual signal or to identify the wearer’s location when needed.

Wide brim, ventilation holes, adjustment

Outfitted with four ventilated openings featuring protective grilles to block insects, the hat ensures comfort during outdoor activities. A wide brim delivers superior shielding from both sun and rain.

The Mk2 version is enhanced with a drawstring enabling customizable length to support the neck. A dedicated loop is also incorporated for secure attachment to the Helikon-Tex Raid sweatshirt.

    A very nice hat. I thought size XL would be too big for me, but it actually fits well. The soft material on the forehead prevents sweat from running into the eyes. The hat size is perfect, and because it is soft and flexible, it can be put into a uniform pocket.

    At first, I wasn’t convinced about this type of hat, but over time I changed my mind. Compared to a regular cap, it masks the silhouette much better, and it’s also compatible with head nets against mosquitoes. This particular one is quite shallow, but well made. It’s comfortable and fits well on the head.

    Very well-made hat, looks great in person. It's nice that Helikon makes the tape around the hat also in camouflage, unlike the older versions. Comfortable, well thought out, the brim is perfect. Not too wide, not too narrow. Sizing is accurate; you should measure your head's circumference about 1 cm above the eyebrows. If your measurement falls between two sizes, I definitely recommend choosing the larger one. The smaller one will be too tight.

    Pay special attention to choosing the right size – it's best to measure your head circumference with a tailor's tape and select according to the size chart (or use the possibility to try it on if there are Helikon-authorized dealers in your city). My head circumference is 61 cm and I wear size XL, even though I am not a big person. Different models might fit differently, so before buying, check the table and measure your head precisely. This is already my third panama hat, I am very satisfied. The hat breathes well, is solidly sewn and durable. I recommend watching the official instructional video. The product can be folded into a pocket, and inside there is an orange lining to make it visible among greenery so you won't lose your hat.

    Great choice — for us, Panama hats are a must ;))) For me, they are definitely better than baseball caps. I picked this model specifically for my windbreaker, and I’m adding a photo. It’s worth remembering that it’s better to order a Panama hat slightly larger, because you can always adjust or tailor it, rather than have to send back one that’s too small later. Of course, it’s best to follow the size chart, because everything is well described there.

    The quality is okay, but the brim is definitely too small for the tropics or sub-Saharan climates. Obviously, the hat was originally intended for a different purpose. Still, it's a pity, because it is nicely made and looks quite good on the head. Also a very good fit.

    It is well made and fits great. The only minor drawback is the Velcro panel, which would be better placed at the front instead of on top. Other than that, I would buy it again without hesitation. Thanks to the cord, it can be worn securely even in strong wind. When it is not needed, it can be rolled up and put into a bag, and after taking it out, it quickly regains its shape.

    Head circumference 60 - size XL fits perfectly. Wz93 so it's just right for the training ground. Inside there is a breathable mesh and a pleasant material so that sweat does not run down your face.

    In recent months, I purchased three Helikon-Tex Mk2 boonie hats: one black, one in multicam, and one in woodland camo. I can wholeheartedly recommend them. They are solidly made, very comfortable, and high quality. The sizing is precise—my head circumference is 61 cm and size XL fits perfectly. As I mentioned previously in reviews, I also have boonies from other companies, including military models from the United Kingdom, but those from Helikon-Tex definitely stand out in a positive way. I definitely recommend them.
