Lightweight hat crafted from 220 g/m2 fabric. The Rip-Stop weave reinforcement guarantees resistance to tearing and fraying, even in the case of localized damage. Owing to the combination of premium materials and an ergonomic design, the hat is ideal for both everyday wear and demanding outdoor or survival scenarios.

Rip-Stop

Rip-Stop weave, Reflective layer

Constructed from a blend of polyester, cotton, and elastane, the hat offers quick-drying performance and remains exceptionally lightweight. A thicker Rip-Stop thread forms a reinforced mesh within the fabric, effectively inhibiting the spread of any potential damage.

A reflective layer lines the interior of the hat, allowing the wearer to be easily marked or to signal their position in emergency situations.

Wide brim, ventilation holes, adjustment

Designed with four mesh-covered vents that block insect entry, the hat ensures comfort in the field. A wide brim delivers superior shielding from sunlight and rain.

The Mk2 version incorporates a drawstring for adjustable length at the neck, enhancing support. A dedicated loop enables secure attachment to the Helikon-Tex Raid sweatshirt.

Camouflage Desert Night Camo

Desert Night Camo (DNC) represents a unique camouflage pattern engineered by the US Army during the 1980s specifically for nocturnal desert operations. Intended to be worn as an outer layer on top of standard uniforms, its primary deployment occurred throughout Operation Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf. Featuring a grid layout with dark green squares and cross shapes set against an olive-green base, the pattern’s principal function was to counteract early models of enemy night vision equipment. While practical effectiveness was moderate in obscuring visuals through these devices, the pattern marked a pioneering development in night-time camouflage techniques.

    Very well-made hat, looks great in person. It's nice that Helikon makes the tape around the hat also in camouflage, unlike the older versions. Comfortable, well thought out, the brim is perfect. Not too wide, not too narrow. Sizing is accurate; you should measure your head's circumference about 1 cm above the eyebrows. If your measurement falls between two sizes, I definitely recommend choosing the larger one. The smaller one will be too tight.

    Pay special attention to choosing the right size – it's best to measure your head circumference with a tailor's tape and select according to the size chart (or use the possibility to try it on if there are Helikon-authorized dealers in your city). My head circumference is 61 cm and I wear size XL, even though I am not a big person. Different models might fit differently, so before buying, check the table and measure your head precisely. This is already my third panama hat, I am very satisfied. The hat breathes well, is solidly sewn and durable. I recommend watching the official instructional video. The product can be folded into a pocket, and inside there is an orange lining to make it visible among greenery so you won't lose your hat.

    Black is my favorite color! According to the size chart, the cap fits the head perfectly if you measure correctly. This model is very comfortable and I definitely recommend it.     The hat is great. I already have 4 of them in different colors. It works elegantly during heatwaves (anyone who's ever gotten their ears sunburned knows what I mean). The hat breathes well, is well made, and you can easily put it in your pocket. Highly recommended!

    The hat is great, it met my expectations 100%, no need to elaborate. The material is nice, it's been through rain several times, the hat got wet, then dried, and it still holds up. Interestingly, my head stayed dry, so in a way, the hat protects your head from getting wet. It's good for rain, for sun, for the forest, and for tactical use. It's cool that it has a Velcro patch on the back for a flag.
