Unfortunately, I did not like the shirt. The advantages are a very nice color and an interesting design, but I noticed two flaws that made me return the shirt. First, it has a strange cut. Generally, size XL should fit me perfectly as with other brands (182cm / 100kg), but this shirt is tight across my back and underarms. The rest of the dimensions are fine, so I'm afraid XXL will be too big in the shoulders. The second flaw is that the material is not very pleasant, it's quite stiff, somewhat like a jacket. I know this is 'Rip-stop' with a synthetic blend, but I still prefer soft cotton.

The color is amazing. You can feel the military vibe, but it's also perfect for everyday wear. The short-sleeve version works well in summer. It's airy and sturdy. I recommend it.

About two years ago I became the happy owner of a Defender shirt in olive color. I didn’t wear it too often, so it still looks like new, but this year the sun was really strong and I thought a lighter color would be more suitable for more frequent wear. I chose size M again (for my 176/104) and now I wear it at over 30°C to work, shopping, and on regular walks. Together with Helikon UTS shorts, even the heat from above is bearable.

This is my first shirt from this company, so I can't comment on durability, but this is exactly how I imagined it. It suits me very well. If it works out, I'll buy another, but with long sleeves. Now, a few words about size, maybe it will help someone. I ordered size M and the shirt is exactly 56 cm in the chest (I am 176 cm/79 kg/and 104 in the chest). This size fits me, there's still a bit of room, but a smaller size would probably be too tight.

I really like the Helikon Defender line, I got used to this cut and the pocket layout, for me it’s amazing. The shirt itself is strong and robust, slightly stretchy thanks to the elastane, but not very breathable. I usually wear it as a second layer over a cotton or thermal T-shirt. It fits well, it’s impossible to look bad in it. At 184cm/100kg XL fits as if it was tailored. The color is very nice and civilian.

This purchase is a continuation of buying three Defenders in the long-sleeve version. Comfortable, well-made, and extremely useful. Tested during summer sightseeing tours of Lower Silesian castles. I recommend it with full confidence.
