That is a small downside, because dirt or water can also get inside through it. The MOLLE system is solidly made. The pouch is very spacious, with two elastic straps inside. The entire inner back panel is covered with soft hook-and-loop, which makes it possible to attach organizers. I have one in camouflage and I am satisfied with it.

Access to the inside of the pouch is provided by a two-way zipper. Pull tabs have been fitted to the ends of the sliders to make unzipping and zipping easier, which is especially useful when wearing gloves.
