After testing the jacket in light rain, I noticed that it starts to soak through after about 10 minutes. The website states that it has a PU coating with a DWR finish and a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm/m2. Although the fabric initially repels water, moisture gets inside quite quickly. The price-to-quality ratio is decent, but I do not recommend it for use in wet conditions, even with light moisture, contrary to the information on the website.

Great jacket with a very comfortable, looser fit. That’s exactly what suits me best, because you can easily wear a sweater or fleece underneath it. The only two features I miss are a built-in pack pocket, which would let it be folded down to a compact size, and the option to tuck the hood into the collar when it isn’t needed. Other than that, I’m really very satisfied—I recommend it with full confidence!

I'll start by saying that the two stars are for the cut, the light protection from the wind, and the way it fits. I'm 185 cm tall, weigh 120 kg, and the 3XL fits well, even with a cotton sweatshirt underneath, and the tactical belly doesn't stand out ;). It doesn't cling or pull, it's just right, and the front belly pocket is still usable and it isn't obvious that there's something in it. The high fastening keeps the wind off the neck, and when unzipped it provides good ventilation. Adjusting the hood is simple and it sits well, and the hood itself is roomy enough to be called a hood, not a scrap of fabric pretending to be one. It really compresses brilliantly, and I think it will easily pack into the pocket of any cargo pants, and in some of them there would still be room for the wind to blow around in the pocket. As for waterproofness, the jacket was tested twice in the rain. Once it was basically drizzle, a 10, maybe 15 minute walk. The second time it was driving rain while standing still for 4 minutes at a tram stop waiting for the tram. In both cases, the hood practically drank the water instead of stopping it, and in the rain it also let water through on the shoulders and back. That PU coating may be there, but those 10,000 of waterproofness are more nano than millimeters. DWR hmm, there's something there, for a moment some droplets were beading up. Here on Militaria.pl you used to have an inexpensive no-name hardshell where DWR really was DWR, and even after a few washes, water ran off it like off a duck's back. All in all, it's suitable as an emergency windbreaker, but not at all as rainwear, at least not my piece. Maybe I'm just that unlucky, but from Helikon I'll only buy trousers now, and only on sale too, because lately the quality somehow doesn't go hand in hand with the price of their products, which is a shame, because their ideas and solutions are cool.

A decent rain jacket that you can always have with you. It's lightweight and doesn't take up much space, easy to put on thanks to the large opening. The cut is quite loose, better suited for people with a slim figure. The price of around 40 euros is adequate, it's not worth spending more on it.
