Helikon-Tex Level 7 Nylon Jacket IRR - wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland

Winter tactical jacket with a regular fit in wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland camouflage, intended for operations in extremely low temperatures and demanding winter conditions. The construction is made of durable Nylon Rip-Stop fabric with a hydrophobic coating and IRR/NIR technology and filled with thick, synthetic Climashield Apex insulation. The model is equipped with 5 functional pockets, a helmet-compatible adjustable hood and a two-way YKK zipper. The model is the outermost and warmest layer of the third-generation ECWCS clothing system.

Nylon Rip-Stop fabric, hydrophobic coating, Climashield Apex insulation and frost protection

The outer layer is sewn from durable Nylon Rip-Stop fabric with a grammage of 235 g/m2 (100% nylon), which effectively protects against wind, moisture and snow while maintaining optimal breathability. The reinforced Rip-Stop weave prevents the material from tearing when mechanically damaged, and the hydrophobic coating protects the structure of the garment against moisture and dirt penetration. The fabric has undergone IRR/NIR (Near Infrared / Infrared Reflective) treatment, thanks to which it absorbs and reflects near-infrared radiation to a degree similar to the natural forest background, reducing silhouette contrast in night vision.

Climashield Apex insulation

Thermal insulation is provided by thick Climashield Apex insulation with a grammage of 100 g/m2, which does not clump, features high compressibility and effectively insulates against frost even after complete soaking.

helmet-compatible hood, high collar, adjustable cuffs

The jacket construction has been adapted for wearing over thick layers of clothing or tactical accouterment. The roomy, fully helmet-compatible hood can be adjusted using elastic shock-cord drawstrings and, if necessary, stowed inside the high collar lined with soft fleece. Velcro-adjustable cuffs and a drawstring at the bottom allow the jacket to be precisely sealed against the penetration of cold air and snow.

5 functional pockets

The model is equipped with 5 practical pockets:

  • two external chest pockets - spacious, lined with soft fleece to warm the hands, equipped with internal compartments for a phone and small equipment,
  • internal chest pocket - positioned at chest height, closed with a zipper, intended for documents or valuable accessories,
  • two lower internal pockets - made of elastic mesh, allowing quick drying of wet equipment such as gloves or a cap.

two-way YKK main closure

The main closure is a durable, two-way YKK zipper, which provides easy access to accouterment worn under the jacket and efficient ventilation without the need to fully unzip the garment.

velcro panels

Velcro panels are placed on both shoulders, allowing the attachment of a flag, unit emblems or Morale Patch type patches, which makes quick customization of the jacket easier.

wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland camouflage

The wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland camouflage pattern is the camouflage currently used by the Polish Armed Forces - the first camouflage designed and introduced into widespread use in the Third Polish Republic. The 1993 pattern offers a combination of mimicry and deforming properties thanks to the use of irregular patches of various sizes. The colour scheme based on green, brown and black has been adapted to the conditions of Polish forests, making “Pantera” a fitting choice for operations in native terrain. Uniforms in this camouflage are also standard equipment for students of Military Uniformed Classes.

PolyCotton feature
PolyCotton

PoliCotton fabric is a blend of polyester and cotton fibers featuring the best qualities of both yarns. Polyester provides strength and flexibility, while cotton provides softness and breathability.

IRR feature
IRR

Materials with IRR (Infrared Reflective) properties are designed to maximize the absorption and minimize the mission of infrared radiation, which is important for camouflage and avoiding detection by observation devices such as night vision devices.

YKK zippers feature
YKK zippers

YKK zippers are high-quality zippers commonly used in clothing and accessories, manufactured by the Japanese YKK Corporation - one of the world's largest zipper manufacturers.

Rip-Stop feature
Rip-Stop

Rip-Stop weave protects the fabric from abrasions and tears. It is characterized by additional threads woven in at regular intervals, forming a mesh-like pattern. It provides high strength to the fabric, increases resistance to mechanical damage, especially tears.

ECWCS feature
ECWCS

ECWCS stands for Extended Cold Weather Clothing System, a clothing system developed in the 1980s by the US Army for use in winter conditions. Consisting of several different layers, the system allows the garment to adapt to changing weather conditions, providing optimal protection against the cold.

Climashield Apex feature
Climashield Apex

Climashield Apex is an advanced synthetic insulating material with very good thermal properties, lightweight and durable. Thanks to continuous fiber technology, it provides high insulation in harsh conditions - warmth and thermal comfort, even when wet. It is used in outdoor clothing, sleeping bags and tactical gear.

NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) feature
NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance)
NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) is a material property of controlled reflection of radiation in the near-infrared (780-2500 nm) range, used primarily in tactical clothing and equipment. NIR-treated fabrics are designed to reduce the thermal emission and reflection of IR radiation, allowing the material's surface temperature to be kept close to ambient. This reduces the risk of detection of the wearer by electronic-optical surveillance systems, including night vision and infrared sensors. NIR technology significantly improves the effectiveness of camouflage in combat and low-light conditions.
