Combat shirt in wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland camouflage, sewn in the MBDU (Modern Battle Dress Uniform) fit, intended for tactical operations and intensive field use. It is made of NyCo Ripstop IRR fabric composed of 50% nylon and 50% cotton, with a 225 g/m2 grammage. The model is equipped with 4 pockets, elastic VeraStretch inserts, NIR/IRR properties, velcro panels and underarm ventilation.

NyCo Ripstop IRR fabric and VeraStretch panels

The shirt is made of durable NyCo Ripstop IRR fabric, which combines the durability of nylon (50%) with the breathability and comfort of natural cotton (50%). The fabric with a 225 g/m2 grammage is reinforced with a Rip-Stop weave, which limits the further spreading of local tears and increases resistance to mechanical damage.

The fabric has NIR/IRR properties that reduce the reflection of radiation in the near-infrared range, lowering the contrast of the silhouette during observation with night vision devices. Elastic VeraStretch inserts have been used on the side sections of the shirt to improve mobility and fit during movement.

Four convenient pockets

The model is equipped with:

  • 2 chest pockets – closed with zippers, intended for carrying documents and handy accessories,
  • 2 shoulder pockets – equipped with internal loops and intended for carrying small items of equipment.

Stand-up collar, adjustable cuffs and reinforcements

The shirt is equipped with a stand-up collar, which can be secured with velcro. The sleeve cuffs are adjustable with velcro, which allows their circumference to be adapted to the wrists or gloves being worn. Critical areas, including the shoulders and elbows, have been additionally reinforced, and spaces for protective inserts are provided in the elbow area. Mesh panels have been used under the arms to improve air circulation during intensive activity.

Concealed button fastening

The shirt is fastened with concealed buttons. This solution reduces the protrusion of fastening elements on the outside and helps maintain an orderly front construction.

Velcro panels on the chest and shoulders

Velcro panels are placed above the chest pockets and on both shoulders. They allow the attachment of patches, identification markings, a name, a flag or other emblems.

wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland camouflage

The wz.93 Pantera PL Woodland camouflage pattern is the camouflage currently in use by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland - the first camouflage designed and introduced into widespread use in the Third Polish Republic. The 1993 pattern offers a combination of mimetic and disruptive properties through the use of irregular patches of different sizes. The colour scheme based on green, brown and black has been adapted to the conditions of Polish forests, making “Pantera” an apt choice for operations in local terrain. Uniforms in this camouflage are also standard equipment for students of Military Uniformed Classes.

NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) is a material property of controlled reflection of radiation in the near-infrared (780-2500 nm) range, used primarily in tactical clothing and equipment. NIR-treated fabrics are designed to reduce the thermal emission and reflection of IR radiation, allowing the material's surface temperature to be kept close to ambient. This reduces the risk of detection of the wearer by electronic-optical surveillance systems, including night vision and infrared sensors. NIR technology significantly improves the effectiveness of camouflage in combat and low-light conditions.

    The Helikon-Tex MBDU NyCo Ripstop in MultiCam Black is a very solid and exceptionally comfortable combat shirt that also looks really good. The hook-and-loop straps at the cuffs finally have the right length, so they can be adjusted properly and tightly. At my height of 184 cm and weight of 85 kg, size XL fits perfectly — it is neither too tight nor too loose. The only downside for me is the button placket, which works a bit too stiffly, so I leave the buttons fastened and put the shirt on over my head. ;-) I wholeheartedly recommend this purchase.

    The Helikon-Tex MBDU shirt made a very good impression on me in terms of build quality and cut. The NyCo Rip-Stop material seems durable while not being excessively stiff, which provides freedom of movement and comfort even during prolonged wear. The cut is well designed — it does not restrict the shoulders and does not get in the way when raising the arms or working with equipment. The MM14 camouflage looks attractive and matches well with field trousers and the rest of the gear. The pockets and the overall functionality of this shirt are also a plus. You can easily arrange the necessary items, access to the pockets is convenient, and the hook-and-loop fasteners and details feel solid. After several uses, the material still looks good, the seams are carefully made, and the whole garment does not give the impression of a cheap product. On very hot days it may turn out to be a bit too thick, but for spring, autumn, training, the range, or outdoor trips it performs excellently. I am satisfied with the purchase — it is truly a solid and practical shirt.

Excellent, dense, tightly woven fabric that is resistant to abrasion and bites or stings from all kinds of insects. I bought the Mud Brown color because it was on an attractive sale that would have been a shame to miss!     The Helikon MBDU NyCo Rip-Stop shirt in multicam black camouflage is really a great product.
