Helikon-Tex MCDU NyCo Rip-Stop Pants - MultiCam

Rugged and comfortable pants in MultiCam camouflage, part of the MCDU (Modern Combat Duty Uniform) series. A thoughtfully designed pocket layout and generous storage options make these pants ideal for urban environments, while also delivering reliable performance for outdoor missions.

Constructed from NyCo Rip-Stop fabric (50% nylon, 50% cotton), the model delivers exceptional abrasion resistance, reduced weight, and a quicker drying time compared to garments made entirely of cotton. Elastic panels enhance mobility, ensuring unrestricted movement. Additional panels of highly breathable VersaStretch fabric are strategically positioned at the waist, behind the knees, and in the crotch area for enhanced comfort.

Designed with twelve functional pockets, these pants offer versatile storage options:

• two inset pockets on the hips
• two pockets at the back
• two smaller pockets situated above the cargo pockets
• two spacious front cargo pockets secured with zippers
• two large rear cargo pockets fastened with Velcro closures
• two zippered pockets located at calf height

Additionally, knee-level on the inside of each leg, there are pockets reinforced with 500D Cordura, allowing the integration of low-profile protective inserts.

A zipper produced by the Japanese manufacturer YKK secures the opening. Velcro straps are positioned at the bottoms of the legs and at knee level, enabling you to customize the leg width. A wide Velcro closure replaces the traditional button, offering waist adjustment and individualized fit. The pants are outfitted with 40 mm wide loops. Additional loops beneath the belt loops provide attachment points for small gear. Mesh vents with zipper closures are located on the sides of the legs.

MultiCam represents an advanced camouflage pattern engineered in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision, collaboratively with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as a component of the Objective Force Warrior program. The aim behind its creation was to deliver a highly adaptable camouflage solution with effectiveness across a wide range of terrains and variable environmental conditions. Utilizing a palette of seven distinct colors, the MultiCam design features seamless gradient transitions among greens, browns, and beiges. Such construction ensures outstanding adaptability to the surrounding environment, morphing into deeper greens within wooded landscapes or blending into brown and beige hues across arid and desert settings—performance that proves especially effective in Central and Eastern Europe during autumn or amidst dried foliage. Recognition for MultiCam spans globally, with adoption by numerous military forces and special operations units. In 2010, the US Army introduced this camouflage as the official pattern for troops deployed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP).
