After five years, I bought another pair of this model of pants. In regular pants, I miss having enough pockets, but these pants have everything I need. I definitely plan to buy more pairs in a different color.
Helikon-Tex Pilgrim Pants - Coyote/Taiga Green
Rugged outdoor trousers crafted from highly durable and flexible DuraCanvas fabric. The material allows for optional waxing to further enhance water repellency. A fit with a slightly elevated rear offers improved kidney protection from wind and low temperatures.

- two hip pockets reinforced at the edges
- two spacious cargo pockets

It performs well in demanding outdoor conditions, especially when working around a campsite. The fabric is suitable for waxing, which improves its water resistance and durability. At the same time, it remains breathable and flexible for comfortable movement. It combines the toughness of traditional workwear with the functionality of modern outdoor clothing.

I am very satisfied with the purchase. Leaving aside the cut or pocket layout—these are really individual preferences, though I have no complaints—the most important thing is that the pants proved themselves in tough conditions. Pushing through the forest, building a shelter, sparks from the campfire, various weather conditions (although in full sun they became heavy—probably like any pants of this type). The positive reviews are not exaggerated, it is really worth it.

The trousers are aesthetically pleasing, made of nice and solid material. I really like the layout and usefulness of the pockets. They look good from every angle. Thank you to Militaria for sending a discount coupon after the price was reduced following my purchase.

The trousers are very well made, with excellent material. As usual, the Helikon brand guarantees a great price-to-quality ratio and an attractive look. When ordering, I expected that size XS would be a bit too wide at the knees and the legs would be too long, but a tailor can easily fix that. I am satisfied with the purchase.

Durable "workhorses" for the forest, the outdoors, the garden or for work. As for the pockets, you need to learn or get used to them a bit. I have the impression that the material loses color quickly (just like the SMOCK). It doesn't affect use at all, but at this price, it's a bit of a shame.

The trousers are generally very good. I own many products from Helikon Tex. However, I have reservations about the pocket construction. The side pockets for the hands are so narrow at the top that it’s difficult to put your hand in, and taking anything out, like keys, is almost impossible. This is very irritating. The thigh pockets are also too small – if I put my wallet in there, nothing else will fit. This is definitely not enough space, especially as they should hold more things. I also noticed the lack of a pleat in the front of the thigh pocket, while there is such a pleat in the back – in the old Bundeswehr trousers even the front had this solution. Really, the pockets are the weakest point of these trousers. Outdoor trousers should provide more functional space, and here it’s simply lacking – it’s tight, narrow, and impractical.

The Helikon Pilgrim pants are very durable and quite water-resistant. I wear them in winter and autumn when cycling and everything is fine. I have various pants from Helikon (Versa Stretch and UTP PolyCotton Stretch Rip-Stop) and I think the Helikon Pilgrim are the most rugged. I don’t like the location of the side pocket with a zipper, which is just above the button pocket (in the UTP PolyCotton Stretch Rip-Stop pants the pockets are arranged brilliantly).

Great trousers, very well thought out, comfortable, and very durable. This is already my second purchase, but my previous trousers are still in very good condition. I definitely recommend them. High quality and high functionality. For trekking, for the shooting range, for everyday use :)

Comfortable, practical, and well-made trousers for a wide range of outdoor activities. Perfect for cooler and wetter days, and with additional insulation, they work well even in frosty conditions. I am very satisfied.

The trousers are very comfortable and functional, and they also look great in the Crimson Sky/Black color. The material is durable, and the cut fits well to the figure without restricting movement. The numerous pockets are practical, and the finishing is solid. A great choice for everyday wear and outdoor activities — I definitely recommend them!

Comfortable and well-made trousers with plenty of thoughtfully designed pockets. They are warm and can be waterproofed. You should measure yourself carefully before purchasing because, in my opinion, the legs in sizes S and M are too long and the calf width is also too large, so they look like baggy pants, which can be annoying when using, for example, gaiters. I'm 172 cm tall and slim, and I feel a little discomfort because of this, but all the other advantages outweigh it.

While choosing the pants, I noticed that the size chart is quite extensive and differs from the typical sizes I’ve encountered before. Nevertheless, I opted for size S Regular. The size turned out to be appropriate, although I personally would prefer the pants to be a bit looser around the crotch area and to have more volume. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase and can recommend this model to others. The fabrics are of excellent quality and very durable.

For me, these are perfect trousers for the forest. The comments about the pockets are partly valid, but everything can be arranged properly. The material is great, and an advantage is the two loops for dedicated braces, which allow you to heavily load the pockets. The high waistband at the kidneys is also an advantage of these trousers. I recommend them.

I have never owned this model and was not convinced by it at first. My opinion changed after trying it on in the store. The product made such a positive impression on me that I decided to purchase it. The Helikon brand, as always, met my expectations.

Comfortable pants for walking, both on flat and uphill terrain. The extra pockets fill outward and don’t press in. The material withstands kneeling in the forest, doesn’t attract dirt. The higher rise at the back looks good, makes them fit better, and protects from the cold. The material does not soak through in rain and water beads off. Size M Long fits perfectly for a slim person 195 cm tall. Highly recommended!
