Some of the best trousers from Helikon. Contrary to appearances, the material is not heavy at all and does not feel armor-like. It is thin and pleasant to the touch. The Pilgrim trousers have almost the same cut as the MBDU, however, they are about 2/3 cm narrower at the hips, which is a pity. The cargo pockets can hold quite a lot, while the classic hip pockets are a little shallower than in the MBDU. The space for knee pads is a great solution, and the raised back of the trousers is excellent. Every pair should have that. With Helikon trousers, once you put them on, you will not look for another brand.
Helikon-Tex Pilgrim Pants - Ash Grey/Black
Robust outdoor trousers in grey, crafted from resilient and flexible DuraCanvas fabric. The material may be further waxed to boost water resistance. The design, featuring a slightly elevated back, delivers superior kidney protection against cold and wind.
8 practical pockets
A total of eight pockets are integrated into the design of the pants:
- two hip pockets reinforced at the edges
- two spacious cargo pockets
- two additional pockets situated between the cargo and hip pockets
- two dedicated pockets designed for a folding knife or multitool
The thigh cargo pockets feature button closures. The interior of these pockets is lined with mesh, enhancing ventilation beneath the fabric when left open. The intermediate pockets between the cargo and hip pockets are secured with YKK zippers.
Adjustable waist and leg circumference
A velcro-fastened waistband provides unrestricted adjustment of pant circumference. Additionally, leg circumference can also be easily modified, and the design includes minimalist attachment points for suspenders as well as wide belt loops accommodating belts up to 40 mm. Side loops are present for attaching additional equipment, such as gear secured with a carabiner.
Internal pockets for protectors
Integrated pockets are designed to accommodate internal knee protectors compatible with Low Profile Protective Pads, providing reliable joint protection during operational activities.

Review summary
The trousers receive very positive feedback for comfort, durability, and practical outdoor performance. Users praise the light yet tough fabric, the raised back that protects the lower back, the knee pad pockets, and the large number of useful pockets, which make them suitable for forests, mountains, trekking, cycling, and everyday wear. Many reviewers also highlight the solid workmanship, good value for money, and broad size range, although they recommend checking the size chart carefully because the legs can run long and the fit is quite specific. The most common criticism concerns the pocket layout: some users find certain pockets too narrow, too shallow, or placed too far back, which can reduce comfort when sitting. A few reviews also mention that black panels get dirty quickly, the fabric attracts hair and dust, the color may fade slightly, and the trousers feel less suitable for hot weather. Despite these drawbacks, most reviewers strongly recommend this model and consider it one of Helikon’s best outdoor trousers.

I ordered, paid and received the package very quickly. Now I have impregnated the black parts (knees and seat). On Friday I'm taking them on their first trip to the forest. There are plenty of pockets, so that's very good. The material is remarkably durable, which is extremely important to me. No need to say more. Bought and ready for the outdoors. See you on the trail.

Great product. I own two pairs of these Pilgrims: black and coyote. I am 190 cm tall and for me the size L-long is perfect. The small sort of side-rear pocket is great for carrying a knife with a sheath up to 24 cm long. The waist adjustment thanks to the Velcro has quite a good range. Overall, if someone likes this style, the product is worth recommending.

Size: M
This is already my second purchase of these trousers. The first time, I chose a slightly too small size, but even so I was very satisfied with them, so after some time I ordered a larger pair. It is really hard to find the right words to praise them properly — these are the best-quality trousers I have ever had the chance to see. Helikon-Tex has created an excellent model that works well both for everyday wear in the city and during outdoor activities. I definitely recommend them. Additionally, it is worth ordering հենց from this website, because the shipment arrived very quickly, and the whole experience was of a high standard.

Size: XL
The trousers are versatile, roomy, comfortable, and sturdy, while also being available at a very attractive price. Their size fully matches the size chart.

Size: M
My favorite trousers for bushcraft and hiking in the mountains. This is already my second pair of these trousers. As many as eight pockets allow you to carry a large number of items with you.

Size: M Long
These are my favorite trousers, and I already have a second pair. The kangaroo pocket makes them exceptionally comfortable. Admittedly, access to the inside of it can sometimes be a bit impractical, but at least nothing falls out of it. The black parts get dirty quite quickly. The quality of the material is just as good as in my G1000 jacket.

Size: XL
These Helikon-Tex trousers turned out to be a perfect choice for me — just like discovering the militaria store. When it comes to outdoor activities, I focus mostly on trekking, but I always look at it from a prepper’s perspective as well. I prefer to keep the most essential items with me, such as a flashlight, a pocket knife, or keys, instead of carrying them in a backpack, because during a hike it is easier to take off or lose a backpack than your trousers. That is exactly why this model suits me so well — because of the cut, the quality of the fabric, and its durability. If you have a similar approach, the Pilgrim Anorak will most likely be one of the best options. As for the size: at 184 cm tall, with a 105 cm waist and weighing 90 kg, size XL fits me perfectly.

Typical Helikon - solid, practical, comfortable - although I had to lose some weight to fit into them, the cut is also typical Helikon, meaning for people with a normal, not dwarfish, body shape. I've been using them for a few years as my main forest pants and so far there has been no wear or fraying anywhere. Ventilation is quite good, the pleated pockets do their job just as promised, overall there is nothing to complain about, I recommend them.

These pants just arrived for me and... after unpacking the package, I was pleasantly surprised: they fit perfectly (size 32/32 for my 1.70 m and 71 kg), the color is great, and the high back is a big advantage for me. I will definitely order more colors. At first, I was delighted with Fjällräven clothing, but the prices are high, especially if they're going to be worn outdoors, and these pants have the same composition and are very comfortable. Big thanks to Helikon – I plan to expand my collection ;-)

These pants are great, I slid a total of 35m down a cliff and didn't even get a scrape. I've already climbed several harder and easier peaks in them. They are also my basic pants for bushcraft. I highly recommend them.

Outdoor pants are comfortable and practical. Besides that, I also have the Woodsman model, but for longer trips I need more pockets – Pilgrim does well in this regard. I deliberately chose brown pants because I already have too many clothes in green. 😉 However, I don't really like the contrasting inserts on the legs. It would be great if there was also a solid brown version of these pants, like the taiga green version. To sum up: the brown version is really a good choice, combining comfort and solid workmanship!

And here comes another pair of pants from the Helikonia collection. This time two-tone. Super functional large pockets. It's possible that I'll buy another color as well.
-
Another pair of Helikon pants in the collection. The pants are comfortable, with a large number of pockets. The first walk in these pants was very comfortable. Before the autumn mountain season, I will probably buy 2 or 3 more pairs. I highly recommend them.

After five years, I bought another pair of this model of pants. In regular pants, I miss having enough pockets, but these pants have everything I need. I definitely plan to buy more pairs in a different color.
