A solid piece of equipment that won't let you down in the forest. The aluminum casing does the job – you can feel that it's not a plastic toy, but a tool that can withstand an accidental bump against a rock. The dial is clear, the needle stabilizes quickly, and the gray color looks modern and doesn’t stand out as much as the classic olive. For working with a map in the field, you don't need anything else.

The compass is worth its price. It is quite heavy, but that's due to the materials used. Durable and accurate. As previous reviewers mentioned, it takes a moment to catch north. Definitely slower than, for example, Silva compasses. But this is a bit of a different piece of equipment. It's worth having it regardless of a map-specific compass.

A very desirable compass. Solid and well made. The phosphorescent indications are a great solution, as they work well after dark. For me, a big plus is the excellently made instruction manual on how to use such a compass, as I learned terrain orientation from it. I definitely recommend it.
