The pouch is perfect for items you need to have on hand, but don't necessarily want to hide in dedicated pouches. For me, it works perfectly as a flashlight and tourniquet pouch. Easy mounting and dismounting and access to the carried item. A big plus for the possibility of bilateral mounting—the elastics and velcro strap can be attached in reverse. The items sit securely and there's no way they will fall out after previous adjustment of the fastenings.

Great product for 'non-standard' items—a tourniquet, magazine or radio will fit perfectly. For smaller items, you'll need to think about changing the shock cord or tightening it more for it to work.

The SOFTT gen.5 tourniquet fits quite well and I think this is the best use for this type of pouch, or possibly an AR magazine. I doubt that AK 7.62 magazines would fit, and pistol magazines will be much too small for this pouch.

A useful item, but only for the right side of the vest. The strap at the bottom can be moved, but the shock cord cannot, so an item (magazine) placed in the reversed pouch will not be secured from above by this elastic cord.
