Great jacket for the forest and city in winter up to -15 degrees and with layering even -20. It has replaced my Jack, which gave up after 8 years. Comfortable, well ventilated, and fits nicely. My wife appreciated the color and the cut.
Helikon-Tex Winter Yukon Duracanvas Jacket - Black
Hooded jacket in Black, engineered for subzero conditions and providing superior protection against cold, wind, and rain. The exterior utilizes robust Duracanvas fabric. Equipped with synthetic Climashield Apex insulation, the jacket ensures optimal thermal performance and excellent breathability. Features include a high collar with a chin guard, mounting loops, and functional pockets designed to keep gear organized. Perfectly suited for extended expeditions as well as everyday wear.
Climashield Apex filling, Duracanvas material
The external layer is made from Duracanvas fabric weighing 230 g/m2, which is ideal for wax impregnation to enhance defense against rain, moisture, and abrasion. High-grade insulation uses premium synthetic Climashield Apex fill at a density of 67 g/m2, delivering optimal warmth retention even when thoroughly wet. Noteworthy for its low weight and efficient compressibility, the insulation ensures reliable thermal performance.
8 spacious pockets
This model offers 8 functional pockets:
- two chest compartments featuring organizers
- two hip pockets lined with a soft fabric
- one pocket positioned on the left shoulder
- two open internal compartments
- one internal chest pocket fastened with a zipper
All external pockets are secured with YKK zippers. Just below the chest pocket, paracord loops provide attachment points for securing smaller gear, minimizing the risk of accidental loss.
Two-way YKK zipper, ventilation openings
The primary fastening is a YKK two-way zipper. A fabric flap secures the stand-up collar, shielding the chin from potential pinching by the zipper. Ventilation openings are situated beneath the arms, equipped with zippers and finished with Mesh lining to improve airflow and enhance temperature control.
adjustable hood, high collar, adjustable cuffs
High collar ensures protection and comfort in rainy and windy conditions. The 3-point adjustable hood enables a tailored fit to the head according to changing weather. Two drawstrings at the waist and hem of the jacket offer circumference adjustment and enhanced wind resistance. For added defense against the cold, Velcro-adjustable cuffs and drawstrings in both the hood and at the bottom hem deliver extra warmth and wind protection.
Velcro panel on the sleeve, Molle loops
A velcro panel measuring 11 x 8.5 cm is located on the left sleeve, providing a spot for attaching various emblems such as a national flag, unit insignia, or Morale Patches, giving the jacket a unique, personalized touch.
At the lower sides of the jacket, MOLLE/PALS loops are positioned to enable the attachment of carabiners or additional gear.

Very nice jacket, but I wouldn't exaggerate about its warmth—in church during mass, you can get really cold in an hour during winter. Surely, if you were moving intensively, it'd be hot. What I like most are the smooth sleeves on the inside—such a great feature when putting it on. The other features are similar to Pilgrim or SAS Smock. If someone knows other Helikon jackets, they'll feel right at home.

The jacket is relatively cold, but on the plus side, it has a good pocket layout and a great hood. What puzzles me is the continuous presence of white threads on the jacket. It looks as if the insulation is coming out through the outer layer of material. I'm considering making a complaint.

A really solid winter jacket. The material is thick and durable, it protects well against wind and cold. It works both outdoors and for everyday use. A big plus is the spacious pockets and comfortable fit. Warm, practical, and still looks good even after longer use.
-
Second opinion after five months of use. The jacket is worth its price. It protects against wind and light rain. It breathes well. The material is very durable. The pockets are very functional. I sincerely recommend it.
-
The jacket is sturdy and works well in winter – it keeps you warm even in freezing temperatures, has lots of useful pockets, and is made from durable, high-quality material. I really like its style and color. The size was also perfect, so I definitely recommend this product.

I was looking for a jacket for the summer, and I was mainly convinced by the reviews posted on this site, confirmed by purchase. I tried on the Earth Brown in the store, but I wanted the Ash Grey color so I had to order my size online. And here came the reality check: numerous protruding threads (I attached just example photos), a torn loop for hanging the jacket, and the straps mentioned by someone else falling off the zippers under the armpits. Additionally, lots of threads visible on black clothes, I assume this is synthetic insulation coming out. Thermally, it's similar – nothing special. When I read that someone wears just a T-shirt at -10°C, I respect that decision and wonder what's wrong with me, because I already need a fleece and it's just about okay if the wind blows. On the plus side: the look, pockets, adjustable hood, and light weight. Looking back, I regret buying it; it's not worth it, even at the promotional price.

Great jacket. It is durable enough for light gardening work (carrying wood, minor repairs) and provides good protection against the cold even at lower temperatures and during gentle walks (the hood insulates very well). It has plenty of pockets and loops. I usually wear size XL and that's what I chose. I could have ordered an L, but it would have been a bit too tight (I have broad shoulders and I like to have extra room for clothes under the jacket: there are two internal mesh pockets for gloves, hats, etc.). I am considering waterproofing it with Nikwax, although the new jacket is already somewhat water-resistant. I really like the option of attaching a pouch or Mora knife to the external loops. I am satisfied with the purchase, because the jacket meets all my expectations.
-
Very positive first impression upon opening the package with the jacket. The material is pleasant yet strong and durable. It's not overly thick, but it serves its purpose, especially during activities. The ability to "regulate temperature" through the zippers under the arms. A large number of pockets, a well-fitting hood. I hope this is a purchase that will last for years.

The jacket is comfortable and keeps you warm, and it also has large pockets. I am 187 cm tall and weigh 90 kg – I chose size L. For daily use in the city, with a suitable amount of activity, it works even down to -10..-15°C (I only wore a t-shirt and a fleece underneath). If you are less active, it's worth wearing something additional. Overall, I highly recommend this jacket.

Since purchase, the jacket has been worn daily, excellently made and well thought out, like the slippery lining that makes it easier to put on and take off. It's resistant to sparks—I’ve tested it several times and there isn’t even a trace left. Even at -9°C it kept me warm. The pockets are spacious and ideally arranged for me, and the hood and adjustments are also fine. I recommend it!

At first contact, the jacket feels fairly thin for the minimum specified temperatures of use. You can check in the specifications that it has 2/3 of the insulation compared to Level 7, but the outer material is more durable. During tests, while walking in -19°C (-25°C with wind chill), it generally performed well. Underneath, I wore two layers: a regular undershirt and a cotton sweatshirt, and it was okay, but just okay. In worse conditions, in my opinion, you'd already need a fleece, and probably also when stationary. This is a very individual matter, and for someone else it might be different. The ability to fasten the cuffs with Velcro, cinch at the bottom, and the high collar help a lot. Despite the medium level of insulation, the warmth doesn't really escape. The whole thing gives a high-quality impression, the outer material is solid and looks good, meaning it's matte. The design is really nice, and the arrangement of the pockets and drawstrings is flawless. I bought the jacket on sale and still think it could be cheaper. As for the size, M fits 178/75.

The Winter Jacket, for me, was a bullseye purchase—seemingly thin, yet surprisingly warm. It proved itself both in freezing temperatures (-10°C) and stronger winds. Before buying, I was deciding between the Winter jacket and the Level 7 jacket, and I chose the Winter due to the greater number of pockets :) The only downside I see now is that the jacket is currently on sale and I could have bought it about 90 PLN cheaper :)) Overall, I highly recommend it.

I am tall, 183 cm in height and weigh 95 kg. I ordered the Helikon Yukon black jacket in size L and it fits perfectly. The excellent slippery lining inside makes it easy to take the jacket off and put it on. From the outside, you can tell the material is solid. There are a lot of spacious pockets and drawstrings that let you adjust the jacket perfectly to your body. The hood is awesome. I haven't worn it yet because I ordered it yesterday at 10 PM and today it's already in my hands—I'm completely shocked by such fast shipping by MILITARIA.pl. The only drawback is the price, but you can see it's adequate for the quality. Greetings to the whole MILITARIA group 😄👍🤜🤛💪

Pros: - Comfortable and very flexible, it's nice to move in it - Provides warmth (tested during the last frosts), of course I had to wear other layers underneath. On its own over a t-shirt it wouldn't be enough. - Nice pockets Cons: - The zipper cords fell off after the first day - Price – you can get better gear for this amount - Pockets are nice but a bit small
