Equipped with an overall length of 203 mm, this knife features a 90 mm long blade with a Drop-Point profile, crafted from 12C27 stainless steel. The blade employs a Scandi (Scandinavian) grind and is finished with a satin finish for a matte look. The handle is fitted with scales made from curly birch wood stained in red and black.

12C27 stainless steel

Forged from 12C27 stainless steel, the blade delivers superior corrosion resistance and is simple to sharpen, all while retaining outstanding cutting ability. Developed specifically for use in knife making, this steel achieves an optimal blend of strength, wear resistance, and edge retention. Thanks to its fine-grained composition, users benefit from clean, aggressive slicing and precise sharpening control—perfect for everyday carry and rugged outdoor tasks. 12C27 steel endures moisture and the rigors of frequent use, promising reliable operation in a variety of challenging environments.

Drop-Point blade, Scandi grind

The blade comes with a Drop-Point shape, engineered to provide exceptional tip strength. Especially effective for outdoor and EDC use, this profile delivers both robust piercing capability and precise blade control. Outfitted with a Scandi grind, the Allmann model offers enhanced resistance to wear and damage. Finished with a satin finish, the blade boasts a low-glare, matte appearance.

Ergonomic handle made from birch wood

Featuring ergonomically contoured scales, the handle is assembled onto the tang with screws and crafted from curly birch wood, finished in a red and black stain.

Leather sheath

A black sheath crafted from tough, long-lasting leather is included in the set, ensuring secure and convenient belt transportation of the knife.

12C27 feature
12C27
12C27 is a high-quality Swedish stainless steel developed by Sandvik (now Alleima), similar in chemical composition and mechanical properties to 440A steel. It has a very fine-grained structure, which improves its cutting properties and durability. The carbon content (0.52%) ensures adequate hardness, while chromium (14.5%) guarantees very good corrosion and abrasion resistance. The steel also contains manganese (0.6%), silicon (0.4%), phosphorus (up to 0.025%), and sulfur (up to 0.025%), which improves hardenability, strength, and structural stability while minimizing the risk of microcracks and brittleness. After heat treatment, the steel achieves a hardness of 53-59 HRC, offering good impact resistance and ease of sharpening. The steel is widely used in EDC, kitchen, hunting, and outdoor knives. It is characterized by high corrosion resistance, good edge retention, and ease of maintenance, making it a popular choice, especially among Scandinavian manufacturers and companies such as Kershaw.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
