The overlays were tested during icy conditions. In urban environments, they worked without any problems, they're small and easy to put in a backpack, unlike crampons, which are bigger but have a wider range of uses.

Simple but quite effective overlays. They are small and lightweight, so you can easily pack them for autumn or winter trips to the mountains or even just for walking around the city during icy conditions. They're easy to put on and the length of the spikes is fine as long as there isn't a layer of snow on the ice.

Easy to put on and very effective when moving on icy, difficult terrain. Lightweight, so they don't get in the way during transport. The spikes are durable and do not wear down.
