Ka-Bar Becker TacTool BK3 Fixed Blade Knife

Knife with a total length of 313 mm and a blade of 171 mm length and Clip-Point profile made of 1095 Cro-Van tool steel. The blade is ground with a Chisel Grind. The blade is coated with a black matte finish that protects against corrosion and reduces glare. The handle scales are made of damage-resistant and weather-resistant Ultramid in black. The set includes a sheath made of damage-resistant Kydex.

This model was developed in collaboration with Ethan Becker. Ka-Bar has been manufacturing this collection since 2009.

1095 Cro-Van tool steel

1095 Cro-Van tool steel is distinguished by high resistance to chipping, making it well-suited for knives intended for heavier field work. The addition of chromium and vanadium improves hardenability, edge retention, and wear resistance compared to traditional 1095 steel. This material is easy to resharpen and, with regular maintenance, provides very good durability for the blade.

blade with Cleaver profile, chisel grind

Blade of 171 mm length and 6 mm thickness with Cleaver (cleaver) profile, designed for maximum cutting control and high efficiency during work along a long edge. The distinctive, high and wide shape ensures excellent stability, makes blade handling easier, and allows for precise, repeatable cuts. The large flat surface aids in convenient carrying and scooping. The reduced, "chopped" front of the blade enhances safety and strengthens the front part of the blade, reducing the risk of tip damage during intense use. This profile is particularly effective in EDC and utility tasks, where stability, strong cutting, and full control over the blade matter. A safe belt-cutting blade is placed on the spine of the blade.

The model features a chisel grind, a single-sided edge that facilitates sharpening, provides aggressive cutting, and performs well in tasks requiring precise blade control. The blade surface is coated with a black matte finish, which eliminates light reflections and protects the steel from external factors.

Ultramid handle scales

The handle scales are made of Ultramid, a durable construction polyamide resistant to impacts, abrasion, and variable field conditions. The material provides a rigid, stable grip construction, and handle profiling enhances control over the knife during intensive use.

Plastic sheath

The set includes a sheath made of durable Kydex plastic. The construction allows for secure attachment to a belt or gear, making it suitable for field and tactical applications.

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Ka-Bar.

Ka-Bar is a brand whose history dates back to the late 19th century, and which gained real fame during World War II, when the Fighting Utility model was officially adopted by the US Marine Corps. The durable and versatile knife quickly became legendary, proving itself both in combat and in the daily tasks of soldiers. The name Ka-Bar itself comes from the 1920s, when a trapper described in a letter how he managed to “kill a bear” with a Union Cutlery knife. In 1952, wanting to emphasize the power of this symbol, the company officially changed its name to Ka-Bar Knives Inc., and its products are still considered a model of reliability today. An important chapter in the brand's history is also its collaboration with Ethan Becker, which resulted in the Becker series, highly valued by users, combining practical solutions with a modern approach to knife design.

1095 Cro-Van feature
1095 Cro-Van
1095 Cro-Van steel is an improved version of classic 1095 steel, with increased wear resistance and improved edge durability. Its carbon content of 0.95-1.1% gives it high hardness (58-60 HRC), making it ideal for the production of survival, tactical, and outdoor knives. The steel also contains chromium (0.4-0.6%), molybdenum (up to 0.06%), vanadium (0.15-0.25%), manganese (0.3-0.5%), and silicon (0.15-0.25%), which contribute to its abrasion resistance and improved edge stability. Although it has low corrosion resistance, it requires proper maintenance in humid environments. Thanks to its optimal combination of hardness, blade durability, and moderate corrosion resistance, it is a popular choice among enthusiasts of knives for intensive use.
Kydex feature
Kydex
Kydex is a thermoplastic, durable material commonly used in the production of knife sheaths. It is resistant to impact, scratches, and changing weather conditions, and has very low moisture absorption. The sheaths are molded directly onto the knife, which guarantees a perfect fit, high durability, and complete safety—the blade remains securely in place even during dynamic movements. Due to its durability and customization options, Kydex has gained popularity in the tactical and survival industries. Sheaths are often equipped with additional mounting holes with metal eyelets, which increase their durability and allow for easy attachment of buckles, clips, or loops to a belt or harness.
Ultramid feature
Ultramid
Knives with handles made of Ultramid are lightweight, highly durable, and dimensionally stable even under intensive use. This polyamide from BASF is resistant to impact, abrasion, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations. Available in versions modified with glass fiber, carbon fiber, or mineral additives, it provides even greater rigidity and heat resistance. Thanks to its injection molding and machining capabilities, it allows for the precise manufacture of handles with a secure grip, durable fastening of metal elements, and an aesthetic finish.
