Katadyn Gravity BeFree Water Filter 6 l - Blue

A filtering system with a capacity of 6 liters using gravity and equipped with an efficient BeFree EZ-Clean membrane filter designed for purifying water from natural sources such as lakes, rivers, streams, brooks or other bodies of water of uncertain origin. This model allows for convenient access to drinking water while camping, trekking, traveling, and during longer outdoor expeditions.

Once the flexible tank is filled, simply hang it in an appropriate place so that the water flows automatically through the filter element - without the need for pumping, using electricity, or manual operation of the system. This type of solution is particularly effective when preparing a water supply for a larger number of people.

The filter used employs Hollow Fiber with an accuracy of 0.1 microns (0.0001 mm), effectively removing bacteria, protozoa, cysts, and sediment. The design also allows for the reduction of microplastics present in the filtered liquid. The system's efficiency reaches even 2 liters per minute, while the filter's lifespan is up to 1000 liters - depending on the source quality.

The BeFree EZ-Clean Filter was designed for quick and convenient cleaning without the need for additional tools or backwashing. To clean it, simply shake or rinse it in water. This solution significantly facilitates usage during field trips and reduces the time needed for maintaining the filtration system.

The water tank in blue is made of durable materials intended for food contact. The flexible design allows easy folding and compression of the empty tank, making it take up little space in a backpack or transport bag. The model is equipped with an integrated handle with buckles that allows for convenient carrying and hanging of the system at the water collection point.

At the back, there is a practical window with a scale that allows you to monitor the liquid level inside the tank. During filling, the outlet hose can be quickly detached thanks to a quick-release valve with automatic flow shut-off, reducing the risk of the hose coming into contact with contaminated water.

The low weight and ability to compress make the system well suited for transport and it does not take up much space in the equipment. The set includes a strap with carabiners enabling convenient hanging of the water tank and a transport cover facilitating storage of the entire set.
