Kel-Met Chain Training Handcuffs Inox

Kel-Met Inox Training Chain Handcuffs are a specialist model designed with the training of uniformed service officers and security personnel in mind. Thanks to the presence of a pin placed next to the keyhole, they enable quick unlocking without a key, allowing for safe and efficient training of immobilization, escorting, and release techniques. Their construction corresponds to standard operational handcuffs, which allows for realistic simulation of tactical situations while minimizing the risk of injury and ensuring control over the training process.

The product is made of stainless steel compliant with the PN-EN 10088-1 standard. The material used is non-toxic to the body, resistant to mechanical damage, and does not cause allergic reactions. The handcuffs do not contain any galvanic coatings, such as nickel or zinc, which meets the requirements of the EU directive 76/769/EEC-94/27/EEC regarding products in contact with the skin and proposed national regulations.

The set consists of two hand loops connected with a tank chain, mounted with swivel fasteners. The design of the loops reduces the risk of chafing and injuries during proper use. They allow the restrained person to easily free themselves by pulling the opening pin.

The loops are constructed from steel structures with a double-locking mechanism and a movable toothed loop. Each loop is equipped with a ratchet lock, which can be locked in place to prevent excessive tightening. Protection against accidental unlocking is activated with a pin.

The handcuffs withstand the application of a static force:

• breaking of 2300 N - force applied in the plane of the clasp, the second clasp secured in the holder. After the force ceases, the handcuffs retain their functional properties.
• bending of the clasp of 500 N - clasp mounted in the holder from the side where the chain connecting the clasps is attached, force applied perpendicular to the plane of the clasp at its end opposite the point of attachment in the holder. The force does not cause permanent deformation of the clasp.

Kel-Met handcuffs meet the following standards:

• PN-EN 10088-1 - standard concerning the properties of stainless steels, defining their chemical composition and mechanical features.
• 76/769/EEC-94/27/EEC - EU directive limiting the use of heavy metals, including nickel, in products in contact with the skin. The handcuffs do not contain any galvanic coatings, such as nickel or zinc.
