The knife is a copy of a USSR knife, which was copied by Gerlach and then by the current manufacturer. After resharpening, it's as sharp as a razor—how long it will keep that sharpness, time will tell. The first attempts at throwing it at a target were successful. Ultimately, it will become another item in a modest collection of slicers.
