Surprisingly good – it detects from 3cm to 5cm if there is metal on the other side. The condition is a really charged battery; I strongly suspect that the negative reviews of the GP Pointer are due to this issue. The shop offers a 9V battery chargeable via USB-C, which makes an ideal set for a kid. It's definitely not IP66, because there's no gasket, and the manual itself is a kind of semantic satire like "wash in the rain under water," but at this price, I forgive everything.

Great pointer, really a blast at this price. Sound and vibration options, as well as dual, are a plus. The holster is rather for recreational carrying, and I wouldn't risk it with the waterproofness.

Small and handy, but it is not waterproof as stated in the technical data; fortunately, I managed to save it. Until it got flooded, it worked well. After flooding, there were problems with short circuits and sound notifications, but I managed to fix it.

My first detector. In my imagination, I could already see the treasures I would find with its help... and nothing. I haven't found any golden train so far. But that's not its fault but mine. Perfect for learning and getting a feel for things at the beginning. Of course, it's not even a strong mid-ranger, but it does its job. You can easily start your adventure, for example, on the beach and use it as an additional tool for small items. As for the forest, it will be just right for amateurs/beginners.
