I bought these shoelaces because the original ones started to fray. Overall, I think they are stiffer and thicker than the ones used in the Lowa Zephyr GTX MID Mk2. Out of habit, I tie a double knot, but I think tying it once wouldn't make a difference because the shoelaces have good grip. After a few weeks of daily use, I have nothing to complain about; for this price, they are really great.
