Lowa Couloir 2 GTX Hi Jr Children's Shoes - Dark Brown/Black
Children's boots in brown designed for the youngest users who need comfortable and protective footwear for cold days.
The high upper, insulation, waterproof Gore-Tex membrane and grippy outsole provide protection and comfort during walks, playing in the snow, trips and everyday use in winter conditions.
Upper made of leather and textile material
The upper is made from a combination of materials selected for durability, comfort and reduced footwear weight. It uses:
- 40% suede
- 32% textile material
- 28% nubuck leather
Nubuck leather and suede give the construction durability and increase resistance to everyday use. Textile material supports the flexibility of the upper and helps maintain its low weight.
The high-cut design covers the ankle, increasing stability while walking. The tongue is connected to the upper in a way that limits moisture and snow from getting inside the footwear.
gore-tex membrane and insulation
The boots are equipped with a waterproof, windproof and breathable Gore-Tex membrane, which helps protect the feet from moisture, snow and cold air while also allowing excess water vapour to escape outside.
Thermal insulation is provided by the insulated Gore-Tex Panda XT lining integrated with the membrane. Its design helps retain heat inside the boot and maintain thermal comfort during use in cold conditions. The softly padded collar improves comfort around the ankle.
Lowa Hikeventure Jr outsole
The boots are equipped with a Lowa Hikeventure Jr outsole with multidirectional tread. Distinctly profiled lugs improve grip on various surfaces, including packed snow, pavements and forest paths.
The tread pattern supports stability when moving over variable terrain. Elements arranged in different directions make it easier to channel water, mud and snow away from under the sole, reducing the risk of losing grip. The rubber construction increases abrasion resistance and performs well in everyday outdoor use.
The front part of the sole has been properly shaped and raised to protect the toe of the boot from impacts and contact with uneven ground.
SUPPORT FRAME, DYNAPU - cushioning and stabilisation
A Support Frame system has been used in the middle part of the sole to support stable foot guidance while walking. The cushioning DynaPU midsole helps absorb shocks generated when taking steps. Combined with the flexible construction of the boot, it supports the natural rolling motion of the foot and increases comfort during longer walks.
The applied construction ensures a durable connection between the upper and the sole. This increases the footwear's resistance to intensive use and effectively reduces the risk of the elements separating.
lacing system
The classic lacing system with metal eyelets allows precise adjustment of the boot to the foot. Different lace routing points make it possible to properly stabilise the midfoot and ankle, while the higher upper increases secure foot hold while walking.

Gore-Tex is a thin membrane made of polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), which features a microporous structure. Its structure makes it highly water- and wind-resistant, as well as breathable. The membrane's pores are 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapor, which allows it to efficiently wick moisture to the outside. DynaPU is a type of lightweight polyurethane foam used in the construction of the midsole.
