Lowa Renegade EVO GTX MID Boots - Dark Grey/Black
Trekking boots in Dark Grey/Black color equipped with a breathable Gore-Tex membrane. They feature a waterproof and windproof construction and a higher-cut upper made of abrasion-resistant nubuck leather.
The model was developed for use in diverse terrain conditions, providing proper foot stabilization, comfort during long hikes, and effective protection against moisture.

The elevated and reinforced upper constructed from robust nubuck leather ensures excellent ankle joint stabilization and safeguards against injuries. Additional protection for both the toe and heel is delivered by the molded rubber sole. A high, integrated tongue effectively blocks the intrusion of water and debris into the boot. Gore-Tex Membrane
Gore-Tex is a thin membrane made of polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), which features a microporous structure. Its structure makes it highly water- and wind-resistant, as well as breathable. The membrane's pores are 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapor, which allows it to efficiently wick moisture to the outside. Monowrap is a three-dimensional shoe sole construction technology developed by Lowa. Size: 45I know they may not look tactical, and maybe you do not look like the navigator of the Penguin commando unit in them, but they are such comfortable, such well-fitting boots that whether on flat ground or in the mountains, all you want to do is walk. Comfortable and, being Lowa, well made; this is my second pair, and the previous one lasted me more than five years. Just remember, if something has a membrane, that does not mean it will behave like a rubber boot. It can handle a bit of moisture, but in the rain or after a longer time in wet grass, sooner or later it will still get soaked through; there are no miracles.

I chose these shoes in a bigger size than usual and it was a good decision for longer hikes. They are slightly loose, don't squeeze, and with thin socks I have a bit of room. With thicker trekking socks the shoes fit better and are even more comfortable. In summary – it’s a solid choice for trekking and I will definitely take them on my next mountain trips.
