I bought them for Jack Wolfskin Refugio shoes after my original Wolfskin laces wore out within 24 months, and after that, some supposedly branded French ones also failed. Now it's time for Lowa laces, and after a month of use, I can make some first assessments: they are quite thick (thicker than those in Lowa Renegade boots, where the laces have held up for several years), yet they are quite soft and seem elastic. Importantly, they do not loosen by themselves, whereas the original Wolfskin laces sometimes did—they were a bit slippery. The only thing is, they are slightly longer than the originals—I wanted to buy 170 cm, but they were unavailable; however, the 180 cm ones also fit.
