Lowa Zephyr GTX MID MK2 Boots - Desert

Lowa boots in a desert shade are an excellent option for those in need of lightweight and durable tactical footwear, offering reliable performance both in urban environments and during outdoor adventures.

Suede leather and Cordura

Crafted from a blend of robust suede leather and breathable Cordura, these provide exceptional durability and outstanding comfort during use.

Breathable and waterproof GORE-TEX membrane

Equipped with a Gore-Tex membrane, these boots offer complete waterproof protection while efficiently allowing moisture to escape. Advanced membrane technology ensures feet remain dry and comfortable regardless of the weather, making these boots highly adaptable for unpredictable outdoor conditions.

A replaceable insole further contributes to maintaining a dry interior environment.

Lowa X-TRAC Military sole, non-slip protection

For enhanced stability on challenging terrain, the boots feature a cushioned Lowa X-TRAC Military rubber outsole with a profiled tread pattern. Incorporating Slip Resistance technology, the sole defends against slipping on wet and oily surfaces. Such a solution makes these boots ideal for traversing uneven and slick ground.

Support for the foot is ensured by the Lowa Monowrap midsole, which stabilizes and shields against impacts. This construction delivers comfort during prolonged wear, significantly reducing the chance of sustaining injuries.

Ankle protection and additional foot protection

Equipped with ankle support featuring a soft collar, the design ensures effective protection against injuries. An added layer of material around the toes and heel, together with the shaped portion of the rubber sole, delivers reinforced defense in critical zones.

Quick lacing and durable eyelets

Low-profile metal eyelets for laces provide fast and effortless lacing, enhancing comfort during wear, particularly in high-mobility situations.

Cordura feature
Cordura

Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.

Gore-Tex Membrane feature
Gore-Tex Membrane

Gore-Tex is a thin membrane made of polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), which features a microporous structure. Its structure makes it highly water- and wind-resistant, as well as breathable. The membrane's pores are 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapor, which allows it to efficiently wick moisture to the outside. Gore-Tex is widely used in the production of outdoor clothing and footwear.

X-Trac Military Sole feature
X-Trac Military Sole

X-Trac Military is a special type of outsole, which, thanks to its design and rubber construction, features anti-slip properties. It provides protection against slipping on slippery, wet and oily surfaces, while maintaining adequate grip.

Monowrap Sole feature
Monowrap Sole

Monowrap is a three-dimensional shoe sole construction technology developed by Lowa. The combination of an injection-molded polyurethane rubber frame along with an outsole and cushioning foam provides better stability and protection for the foot. The sole form absorbs shock and supports the natural movement of the foot when walking.

Slip Resistance feature
Slip Resistance

Slip Resistance is a technology used in the shoe's sole, which is highly slip-resistant thanks to its special design and rubber compound. It provides slip protection on slippery, wet and oily surfaces, as well as traction on varied surfaces.

Very high-quality shoes, perfect for the outdoors, mountains, shooting ranges, or tactical activities. So far no problems or defects. Especially on warmer days, they are a relief compared to other models.

The purchase was definitely the right decision. The shoes exceeded my expectations. First hike: Tarnica. I did 12.5 km with my daughter. In the mountains, on rocks, some mud, 26°C. Shoes not broken in: zero blisters or chafing. Dry feet. They hold the ankle great, fit the foot very well, very good grip. I recommend them.

Before buying, I didn't fully understand why everyone uses these shoes, but only after purchasing did I get it. The comfort and lightness are amazing—after a whole day, my feet aren't tired at all. On warmer days it's also better than with other models, my feet sweat noticeably less, which provides huge comfort. I highly recommend them.

For a long time, I was looking for tactical boots suitable for bushcraft and long hikes in demanding terrain. In the end, I decided on the Zephyrs. I think they are very solidly made while still being relatively lightweight. Another plus is the dual lacing system, which works really well. However, I do have one remark about their rather unusual shape. I don’t have wide feet or a high instep, and yet the left and right boot fit my feet differently — I had never encountered anything like that before. It is definitely worth trying on several sizes, because I had a bit of trouble with that myself. I normally wear a 7.5, but here I ultimately chose an 8. The boots do not break in much, because the lower part is very stiff and does not adapt much. I use them with a Sidas 3D Outdoor insole — it is great for walking, but even after heavy sanding it remains quite hard and slightly rough, which is not ideal for the durability of the GTX membrane. If someone is planning to replace the factory insole, it is worth considering something softer. I already have about 100 km in them in hot conditions, and I am very satisfied. They fit just as well as at the beginning and do not require any special break-in period. They seem durable, and for tactical footwear they are really comfortable. For comparison, I also tested the Merrell Moab 3 Tactical and the Salomon Quest 4M GTX Force 2, but in my case the Zephyrs performed the best.

Overall, these are truly excellent boots. I decided to go half a size up, and that turned out to be the perfect choice for my thicker merino wool hiking socks. I’ve already worn them on several outdoor hikes, and they performed very well — they were comfortable and provided solid support for the foot. On one of the routes, I walked through a shallow stream where the water rose above the lower part of the boots, and even then the membrane performed brilliantly and not a single drop got inside. I’m very satisfied with their build quality, comfort, and waterproof performance. I recommend them with full confidence.

I switched to Salomons, and you can really feel the difference. With proper lacing, they are very comfortable even on long hikes. In the mountains and in the forest, the Lowas performed exceptionally well. During the break-in period, I didn’t get any blisters; the key is simply choosing the right socks. Even after wearing them for several days without taking them off, no unpleasant smell appears. I chose a half size bigger, and nothing slips around while my feet stay comfortable. Overall, these are excellent boots, and I definitely recommend them.

From the very first moment, it makes a very good impression: it is solidly made, durable, and well designed. At the same time, it has some weight to it. It is definitely a very good choice for intensive outdoor use and in various weather conditions, which is why I am glad that I will be able to use it really often.

    Size: 42,5

This is one of the most successful purchases I’ve made recently. Size 42.5 fits a foot length of 28.5 cm well. The shoes are comfortable and don’t cause pressure anywhere. Even in temperatures above 35 degrees, they perform surprisingly well. The two-stage lacing system works very well — first the part of the shoe that wraps the foot, and then the area around the ankle. I also haven’t noticed the laces wearing out too quickly. I use them almost every day, both for walks (concrete/asphalt/grass) and at the dynamic shooting range (sand, mud). Time will tell how long the sole lasts; with this kind of use, Vibram usually holds up for no more than a year.

I had seen others wearing these shoes before, and now I had to see for myself what their quality was like. I’ll put it this way: nice-looking, comfortable, and solidly made. I recommend them :-).

Everything is just right: size, high quality, comfort, ankle support, stability, cushioning, materials, breathability, and on top of that I managed to buy them at a promotional price. For me, they’re fantastic. A nice extra is the place where this footwear was manufactured.

These shoes are amazing; I now have 6 pairs in different colours. In the Mk I version, the sole was slippery on wet surfaces, but this was improved in the Mk II version. Despite that drawback in Mk I, I still recommend them - these are shoes for the whole year, you can hardly feel them on your feet, the build quality is excellent, and they are not some Taiwan or PRC-made product.

Excellent product. The shoes are very comfortable, lightweight, and allow the feet to breathe. The price is appropriate for the quality. I would buy them again without hesitation. Highly recommended!

This is already my second pair of these shoes – the first pair worked great, lasted a long time, and even survived a trip to the Everest base camp without causing blisters or needing to be broken in.

The shoes are extremely comfortable and precisely made. They provide excellent stability for the foot, and the sole grips the ground well, performing perfectly both in the mountains and during longer walks. The materials used are of high quality, and the shoes effectively protect against moisture and uneven surfaces. Although the price is high, the durability and comfort fully compensate for it. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for solid trekking shoes.

The best shoes I've ever had! Super comfortable, honestly, for high shoes, they're as soft as slippers, and surprisingly, your feet breathe very well in them. I sincerely recommend them because
