M-Tac Alpha PrimaLoft Pants - MM14
Insulated trousers with suspenders crafted from durable nylon fabric. Featuring a windproof liner, synthetic PrimaLoft insulation, reinforced with Cordura panels, and fitted with high-quality YKK zippers. Serving as the 7th layer in the ECWCS system, these pants are intended for use as an outer protection layer, worn over thermal base layers or additional pants.
Durable nylon, windproof lining, Cordura reinforcements
Constructed from robust and tear-resistant nylon, the upper section and lining provide effective protection against wind and moisture. Designed for convenience, the material is simple to clean and maintain, making these pants a reliable option for use in various environments. Key areas are enhanced with Cordura reinforcements, ensuring heightened resistance to abrasion.
PrimaLoft synthetic filling
The pants are equipped with PrimaLoft synthetic insulation on the inside, ensuring reliable thermal comfort. Thanks to its design, the insulation maintains its thermal properties even when exposed to moisture, delivering warmth in damp and cold environments. The filling stands out for its lightweight structure and notable elasticity, offering excellent protection from the cold without adding excessive weight or bulk, which makes the pants comfortable to wear.
Zipper protected by a strip and zippers on the legs
The zipper used for fastening the pants is protected by a flap secured with snaps and hooks. This design prevents jamming caused, for instance, by accumulated dust or clumping snow. Both legs feature zippers at the hip and calf areas, ensuring easy on and off while providing access to pockets in the clothing worn underneath.
Adjustable waist and legs, shoe hooks and loops
An integrated Velcro waistband provides precise adjustment of the pants' width to fit the user's body. Welts are featured at the lower part of the legs, along with Velcro and snap-adjustable bands to modify the circumference as needed. Hooks are also incorporated for securing the pants to footwear.
The design includes loops for the attachment of a belt, as well as tabs for easily attaching or detaching the supplied harness.
MM14 camouflage
The designation MM-14 stands for маскувальний малюнок (maskuvalʹnyy malyunok = camouflage pattern) and the year 2014, marking the official adoption of the camouflage. The pattern draws inspiration from the American UCP design, while the chosen shades were specifically selected to correspond with the natural colors found throughout Ukrainian landscapes. Introducing the MM-14 camouflage pattern played a crucial role in the Ukrainian military's reforms to move away from post-Soviet identification. Known unofficially, MM14 is also referred to as Ukrainian Pixel Camo and Ukrainian Digital Camo.
