MultiCam represents an advanced camouflage pattern engineered in 2002 by the American firm Crye Precision in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) for the Objective Force Warrior program. Developed to offer exceptional versatility, MultiCam delivers reliable concealment across diverse terrains and fluctuating environmental conditions. Featuring a palette of seven colors, the pattern forms seamless gradients between green, brown, and beige tones. This enables adaptive blending with surroundings, taking on greener hues in woodland settings and shifting to browns and beiges in arid or desert landscapes—as observed in Central and Eastern Europe during autumn or amidst dry foliage. Global armed forces and special operations units recognize the effectiveness of MultiCam. In 2010, the US Army officially selected it as the standard camouflage for troops in Afghanistan, replacing the former Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). Civilian access to the pattern has also contributed to its popularity among military enthusiasts and airsoft players.
