MultiCam is an advanced camouflage pattern introduced in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in partnership with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) for the Objective Force Warrior program. Developed to provide adaptable concealment across a range of terrains and varying environmental conditions, the MultiCam design features seven different colors that blend smoothly into one another, incorporating gradients of green, brown, and beige. This allows the pattern to visually adjust to its surroundings—presenting more green in heavily wooded areas or adopting browns and beiges in arid or desert landscapes. In Central and Eastern Europe, MultiCam proves especially effective during autumn and in dried-out vegetation. The pattern has achieved global acclaim and is utilized by numerous military forces and elite units. In 2010, the US Army officially selected MultiCam as the standard camouflage for personnel stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the previous Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). Civilian users also have access to the pattern, contributing to its popularity among military gear enthusiasts and airsoft players.
