Great gloves, very secure grip and stable fit. You can easily handle a weapon or a smartphone with them. I recommend the gloves and the store!
Mechanix Wear Tactical Specialty Recon Tactical Gloves Covert
Tactical gloves in black, engineered for use by professional soldiers, special forces operators, and other members of uniformed services. Especially well-suited for shooters, the design incorporates three-dimensional shaping that follows the natural contour of the hand, while elastic spandex panels at the top of the finger joints reduce material overlap to deliver outstanding comfort.
sheepskin, polyspandex and Kevlar threads
Constructed from breathable polyspandex and 0.6 mm thick sheepskin, these gloves deliver excellent tactile feedback while enhancing grip on wet surfaces. The ergonomic design ensures a snug fit without compromising dexterity. Reinforced with Kevlar threads, they boast superior structural durability. A Velcro closure secures the cuff.
touchscreen capability
The Recon model is crafted from materials that enable touchscreen operation on smartphones and tablets, allowing users to interact with their devices without removing the gloves.
EN388-2011X protective standard
The gloves comply with the protective standard EN388-2011X for mechanical hazard resistance, signifying:
- 2: abrasion resistance (rated 0–4)
- 0: cut resistance (rated 0–5)
- 1: tear resistance (rated 0–4)
- 1: puncture resistance (rated 0–4)
- X: cut resistance – TDM method (ISO 13997) (rated A–F)
The EN388 standard uses these scales to specify levels of glove protection: a value of 0 means no protection, while the highest numbers (4, 5) represent maximum resistance.
With the TDM (ISO 13997) testing method, letters designate protection levels, where A denotes the lowest, and F indicates the highest resistance.
The X symbol shows that a particular parameter was not assessed or does not apply.

Maybe these used to be good gloves. I bought 16 different pairs of Mechanix gloves for comparison. This opinion refers to the Recon High Dexterity (TSRE-55-010) model from 2025, Made in Philippines, size 9/L. The fingers and thumb are about 2cm too long; moreover, the fingers do not fit the fingertips due to a strange pointed finish. No lining; the leather is ready to dye your hands. Returning them.

Very good gloves, I use them with my team for photography when it gets colder, you can handle cameras well in them, and a great advantage is that you can write with any finger in these gloves on a touchscreen.
-
Gloves worth recommending, they are comfortable, and you can feel the weapon very well in them. I use them at the shooting range and during service and I can recommend them to anyone looking for good quality gloves in a similar price range. Perfect for the spring-summer period (and at the beginning of autumn), because they are too thin for winter.
-
They seem to be delicate at first touch, we'll see how their durability is after the autumn-winter season. So far okay, but I will update my opinion in the spring. I recommend!

Not much to say, cool gloves. Everyone knows Mechanix is well-reviewed for a reason. Comfortable, durable gloves made of good material; they work for me in the forest.
-
Great gloves, but if your size is on the border, take a smaller one. I have to buy a second pair because these turned out to be too large and I tore off the tag. High-quality product, matches the description.
-
Great gloves, often used on duty, they perform very well when operating touchscreens.

The gloves work great for handling firearms. Also easy to use a touchscreen phone with them.

Awesome gloves, I tried on several pairs at the showroom in Szczecin but these are the best. Thin and light, my hands don’t sweat much even on warm days. You need to get used to driving a car in them, my steering wheel slides a bit on the glove leather. Good quality and fit. Recommended.
