I've been using it for the second year now. It survived training grounds, borders... Often packed to the max, thrown in the grass, sometimes with even more gear attached... After two years, you can see it’s been through a lot. But it holds up. It hasn't let me down. For this price, there’s no need to hesitate. If it breaks, I’ll order the same one again. I consider the multi-color design a plus because you can organize everything. Big plus for the inner pockets, too. And another great thing... there's a pocket on the back for a folder with documents. I definitely recommend it.
Mil-Tec Assault Pack Laser Cut Large Backpack 36 l - Phantomleaf WASP I Z2
Tactical backpack with a 36-liter capacity, constructed from abrasion-resistant polyester and featuring an internal PVC coating for enhanced moisture protection. Ideal for tactical operations, survival scenarios, and daily use.
Utilizing the advanced Laser-Cut-Loop-System rather than the standard sewn-on PALS webbing, this model features laminated polyester with laser-cut openings compatible with the MOLLE/PALS system for attachment of additional pouches.
Two compartments, pocket for hydration system
Two spacious compartments secured with two-way zippers provide ample storage for essential equipment. Zipper pulls ensure smooth operation even when wearing gloves, and the design allows the backpack to be opened wide for quick and easy access to contents. Inside each compartment, smaller dividers offer effective organization for gear management.
Two front pockets are designed for additional accessories. The top pocket features a velcro panel for attaching patches or emblems, while the bottom pocket includes a built-in organizer for small essentials. On the reverse side of the backpack, a concealed, Velcro-secured pocket serves as a compartment for a hydration system or as a discreet space for storing valuable gear.
Comfortable carrying system with detachable waist belt
A soft, ergonomically shaped EVA foam padding covered with breathable, high-comfort mesh lines the back panel. Wide, 5 cm adjustable shoulder straps ensure comfort and feature vertical mounting loops as well as a D-ring on each side for attaching extra equipment, along with a removable hip belt. Compression straps with buckles are positioned on both the sides and base of the pack to aid in convenient compression and packing.
Slim, elongated side pockets are located beneath the cut-out mounts. A reinforced carry handle is positioned at the top of the pack.
Phantomleaf camouflage
WASP I represents a cutting-edge collection of PHANTOMLEAF® CIV-TEC® camouflage patterns, engineered exclusively for MIL-TEC®. Developed through sophisticated digital analysis of the specific terrain where each variant is intended for use, PHANTOMLEAF® patterns ensure optimal concealment. The specialized algorithm also factors in movement and additional variables, enabling the patterns to adapt seamlessly to a broad array of environments. Additionally, PHANTOMLEAF® camouflages are distinct enough to allow for reliable "friend or foe" recognition among groups of soldiers in combat scenarios or during ASG activities.
The WASP I Z2 variant excels in dry grasslands, steppes, semi-desert regions, and even partially rocky landscapes. Within temperate regions, it proves highly effective in wooded or rural areas from late summer through late autumn. This advanced design offers a modern alternative to camouflages such as MultiCam, Arid MC Camo, or Pentacamo.

Laser-Cut-Loop-System is a system of laser-cut holes and loops directly on materials used in tactical accessories, hiking gear or clothing. It increases the modularity and customizability of equipment, and allows for simple and stable attachment of additional equipment and accessories (e.g. in the MOLLE system), without the need for additional fasteners.

Reviews often highlight solid construction, durable materials, comfortable wide straps, and excellent value for money. It works well for everyday use, work, school, short trips, outdoor activities, and emergency kits. I bought the gray color as a younger brother for the 65-liter model. Really cool – the layout of the pockets is absolutely brilliant. The color is just like in the picture – a very elegant gray – I mention the color because someone in the comments pointed it out. I recommend it as an everyday or daypack.
-
Surprisingly fast delivery – the package shipped on Saturday afternoon and arrived on Sunday morning. The backpack is very solid and matches the description. I am very satisfied with its use. I recommend it to anyone looking for a strong, spacious, and durable backpack at a good price.

A good product at an affordable price. It provides convenience, capacity, and mobility. In addition, it maintains temperature well. Thanks to this, a cold drink on a hot day is still cool after several hours.

This is a very good and functional backpack. I bought it at KMS in Brussels. It has many pockets that are sturdy and do not break easily. It is also equipped with loops to which you can insert or attach various items. Really practical.

A good backpack for all kinds of uses. It has many pockets and compartments, so you can arrange the items you carry very conveniently. The MOLLE system additionally increases carrying capacity. I use mine for shorter trips, both in the city and in the forest or mountains. It is comfortable to carry and so far it has been working very well; I recommend it.

The Mil-Tec Assault Backpack 36L Large stands out with its excellent value for money. It is exceptionally spacious, and its large main compartment can easily fit a 5-liter water bottle. It is equipped with many practical pockets, sturdy-looking seams, and smoothly operating zippers. The shoulder straps are comfortable, making the backpack very pleasant to carry. This is a very competitively priced tactical bag. It feels solid and durable, perfect for everyday use in the city. It has everything you need: an organizer pocket, a fairly large middle pocket, and a very spacious main compartment for larger items. In addition, the MOLLE system is practically everywhere, and you can attach a morale patch to the Velcro. I definitely recommend it.

I bought this backpack :) The build quality is quite good. I recommend it to people who need a lot of space; it doesn’t leak in light rain. The Germans know their stuff.
-
The backpack is really large, the workmanship is excellent, a big plus for the hook-and-loop fasteners on all the straps, nothing dangles from the backpack, the zippers look solid, as do the buckles.
-
I bought this backpack 2 years ago; it has been with me on more than one trip in various weather conditions and it performed well. I have this backpack in the olive color and I can warmly recommend it.
-
I bought the larger, 36-liter model in olive color. At this point I still can't say too much about it, but for a year and a half I have been using the smaller, 20-liter version of the Mil-Tec backpack for work every day, and it has also accompanied me on several trips to the forest. In my opinion, the backpack is made of really decent material, has sturdy zippers, and is comfortable. The material quality here is identical — it's exactly the same model, just in a larger size :)

For this price, there is nothing better; the 36L backpack is very spacious, enough to pack for a business trip or even for a quick trip to the mountains, etc. I definitely recommend it.
