Woodland camouflage

Woodland, commonly referred to as US Woodland or M81, represents a legendary camouflage design introduced to American military forces in the early 1980s, evolving from the earlier ERDL pattern. For more than twenty years, the US armed forces adopted this pattern as standard issue, with its use lasting up to the close of the first decade of the 21st century. Marked by its broad, irregular shapes in various tones of green, brown, beige, and black, the pattern excels at both concealment and disruption, particularly within wooded environments. Due to outstanding effectiveness and widespread recognition, numerous nations and over 60 uniformed services worldwide have created versions inspired by M81. Its influence extends beyond military origins, significantly shaping popular culture and seamlessly making its way into mainstream fashion.
