The protectors are solid and protect the elbows well. The Velcro fastener isn't very precise and there may be an issue with fitting them properly to your body, but other than that they are very comfortable and suitable for airsoft, paintball, and other sports.

I bought them for protection at mass events, they are perfect, they don't slip off and can be adjusted well. I recommend them. I even put them on over fleece and a jacket, but they might not fit a really large hand.
