The shoes are comfortable from the start and don't need much breaking in. The side zipper seriously makes life easier, especially when you need to put them on quickly. They've already been through mud and rain a few times and are still holding up very well.

The purchase of Mil-Tec Two Zip shoes was based on three criteria. First and foremost, priority was given to weight and breathability, as well as the inclusion of a zipper for quick putting on and taking off. The shoes were meant to be functional mainly in field conditions but not for extreme situations like long marches, soaking wet environments, or use in low temperatures. A pair of size 44 weighs 1260 grams, and the zippers (YKK) work smoothly, which I rate very highly. Unfortunately, the combination of suede leather and polyester has very poor breathability. The insoles used in the shoes are thin, poorly fitted, and tend to shift around. I bought the shoes on 02.05.23 (329 PLN). I calculated that during my official duties, I wore them for 60 days. I also took them on a three-day hike (49 km) through the Bydgoszcz Forest, on gravel roads and marked forest trails. After 190 days, the heel began to separate from the sole. The complaint was rejected. It should also be noted that after this time the insoles started to delaminate and the lining is about to wear through any day now.

I would like to note that this is an opinion given literally right after unboxing. These are budget shoes, that's a fact. They absolutely need to be waterproofed. I get the impression the manufacturer did not ensure a good insole. The shoes are the right size, but my foot moves around inside—this changes completely after inserting an insole—the foot becomes stable and comfort improves. I really like the sole, which isn't spongy but also not too hard—it's just right, which is a big plus. Next point: the side zippers, and here’s a huge plus, because at the moment these are necessary—I usually use Lowas and Aku, and those are premium shoes. I bought these only for 3 months and I have the feeling they will be perfect and the quality vs price ratio is a big plus. Importantly, the shoes are very light. It might turn out they will be indispensable in summer.
