I bought it for a trip with friends because we were holding kayak races and our "referee" used it to make announcements. I can't determine the distance from which we could hear it, because it's hard for me to estimate that on the water, but the megaphone worked, it was loud and I recommend it from my side.

The megaphone was bought more out of curiosity, but it turned out to be quite useful. For its size, it's loud and the voice can be heard clearly even from a greater distance. It fits well in the hand, and its build quality does not give the impression of being cheap. The battery lasts decently, and it's extremely easy to use.
