Because I already own the Surge model—very versatile, but still quite bulky—I was looking for something much more compact and discreet that offers the most important functions: a decent blade, a screwdriver with four types of bits, and pliers. For me, that is the absolute everyday essential. Of course, the pliers are not as sturdy as those on the Surge, but the Skeletool CX performs its job without any problem, while maintaining the high build and finish quality characteristic of this brand. I am truly delighted with this small tool and practically never part with it. Additionally, after several purchases from Military.eu, I can say that everything has always gone flawlessly. Both the quality of service and the speed of delivery are at an excellent level!

Clip-point profile head
Equipped with a Clip-Point blade profile, the head is crafted from 154CM stainless steel. Deployment of the blade utilizes a thumbhole, and once open, the knife is secured by the Liner Lock mechanism.
Steel construction, Steel clip
Crafted with a stainless steel frame, the tool undergoes heat treatment to achieve superior hardness and durability. Outfitted with a detachable spring clip, the model can be securely fastened to the edge of a pocket. The Skeletool CX variant incorporates a carabiner for conveniently attaching the folded tool to a rucksack or other gear. Integrated within the carabiner arm is a storage compartment that holds an extra bit.

The biggest advantage of the CX version is the blade made from high-quality 154CM steel. Unlike the standard Skeletool, here the knife is smooth (plain) – it stays sharp for a long time, doesn’t dull easily, and cuts very precisely. The tool’s design is very well-thought-out: it contains only the most essential elements for daily use, such as pliers, a solid knife, a bit holder, and a carabiner with a bottle opener. Thanks to the carbon fiber insert, the tool is lightweight and you can barely feel it in your pocket. It’s not suitable for the heaviest work or equipment repairs – the skeletal construction has its limits when it comes to durability. However, as a stylish EDC for everyday use, clipped to your jeans, it works perfectly. Definitely worth its price.
