Omegon AC 70/700 AZ-2 Telescope

A telescope that is a refractor equipped with an achromatic objective. The optical objective diameter is 70 mm, and the focal length is 700 mm. The device provides a bright and clear image, which is ideal for observing planets and the Moon. The telescope will also help locate numerous star clusters, as well as brighter nebulae and galaxies.

The objective with an aperture of 70 mm and a focal length of 700 mm provides bright and clear images at magnifications from 10x to 140x. A moderate lens speed of f/10 ensures optimally balanced sharpness across the entire field of view. The objective lenses are covered with anti-reflective coatings to improve contrast and image brightness. The stellar magnitude limit is 11 magnitudes, allowing for distant and clear observations.
The set includes two Kellner-type eyepieces:

Anti-reflective coated lenses increase light transmission and reduce image distortion.

The telescope tube is mounted on a stable azimuthal AZ-2 mount. The construction is mobile yet robust. The design is easy to operate, and once positioned, it can be locked onto the observed object. The tripod has an adjustable height range from 71 cm to 121 cm. The dew shield effectively limits dew deposition on the optics and reduces scattered light, improving contrast and observation quality. A standard mount for illuminated finderscope is located on the focuser body.
