Compact, lightweight folding knife designed as a keychain, featuring a 35 mm blade. The blade boasts a Clip-Point shape, crafted from 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel and finished with a semi-matte coating. Full flat grind enhances the blade’s sharpness, and its slim profile delivers superior cutting performance.

Deployment is made easy via a dedicated groove on the blade, while user protection is provided by a Slipjoint mechanism. The ergonomically contoured handle, fashioned from beech wood, guarantees a firm, secure hold. The handle also lends itself well to customization, allowing for texturing, carving, or staining in any desired color. Its wooden construction incorporates a hole at the rear of the handle, perfect for attaching a safety lanyard.

Opinel is a French knife brand whose history dates back to 1890 in Savoy. The founder, Joseph Opinel, created the first folding knife, No. 08, which quickly became a symbol of everyday use thanks to its simplicity and functionality. In 1955, the Virobloc locking system was introduced, later modernized, which is still the hallmark of the brand today. In 1985, Opinel was recognized by the Victoria and Albert Museum as one of the 100 best-designed objects in the world, and the brand's knives also found their way into the MoMA collection in New York. Production takes place in Chambery, with an emphasis on quality and ecology - the wood comes from French forests and the waste is used to heat the factory. Among the famous users was Pablo Picasso, who used Opinel for carving, and the knives themselves have become a symbol of simplicity, durability, and the French lifestyle.

A miniature version of the classic Opinel. The blade is stable and thick enough that it doesn't bend like a razor blade when force is applied. Of course, the thickness is proportional to the size of this keychain. Nevertheless, the proportions are chosen very well, so that it retains useful properties despite its very small size. Attached to the keys, it is unnoticeable. It comes in handy at unexpected moments. Not everyone always carries a classic folder with them everywhere. I recommend buying it. Just a few zlotys, and you always have a sharp blade with you. With this Opinel, it's as if it's not there, but it's always with you.
