Outdoor Edge RazorMax Knife - Orange Clam

Fixed blade knife from the Razor series equipped with a system of interchangeable blades for different applications. The blades can be quickly and easily replaced without tools using a special locking mechanism located in the handle. Blades with Upswept and Drop-Point profiles are made of 420J2B stainless steel, known for its high corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening. The handle made of thermoplastic rubber (TPR) in Orange color ensures a secure and comfortable grip even in tough conditions. The set includes a sheath made of durable plastic.

420J2B steel

The knife blades are made of 420J2B stainless steel, distinguished by high corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening, making it easy to maintain the cutting edge in good condition. After heat treatment, the steel reaches a hardness level of 52-57 HRC, ensuring good flexibility and resistance to damage during intensive use.

Satin-finished Upswept and Drop-Point blades

RazorMax is equipped with three interchangeable Upswept blades with a length of 127 mm and three Drop-Point blades with a length of 89 mm. The blade surfaces are finished using the satin method, giving them a semi-matte appearance, which enhances aesthetics and reduces the visibility of scratches occurring during use.

TPR handle, jimping

The ergonomically contoured handle is made of thermoplastic rubber TPR. The non-slip texture, distinct finger groove and jimping on the blade's back ensure a secure grip and good control of the knife, even with wet or dirty hands.

Nylon sheath with a pocket for interchangeable blades

The knife comes with a solid and lightweight nylon sheath, equipped with a belt loop for attachment. A snap closure prevents the knife from falling out accidentally, and an inner plastic insert stabilizes the blade and protects the sheath from damage. An additional pocket with a Velcro closure allows for convenient carrying of interchangeable blades.

TPR feature
TPR

TPR, or thermoplastic rubbeTPR, or thermoplastic rubber, is a material that combines the properties of rubber and plastic. It is flexible and durable, and is often used in the manufacture of tool handles, gaskets, footwear, and many other products, as it provides comfort, good grip and wear resistance.r, is a type of synthetic material that combines the properties of rubber and plastic. TPR is characterized by its flexibility and abrasion resistance.

420J2 feature
420J2
420J2 steel is a martensitic stainless steel with a lower carbon content, popular in the production of knife components such as scales and springs. It contains between 0.26% and 0.4% carbon, which ensures moderate hardness (52-57 HRC) and ease of machining, while maintaining good elasticity. Chromium (12-14%) gives it very good corrosion resistance. Manganese and silicon improve hardenability and strength, while low sulfur and phosphorus content reduce the brittleness of the material. Despite its lower hardness, this steel still retains its advantages, such as very good corrosion resistance and relatively low processing costs.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
