Pentagon Artaxes Jacket - Greek Lizard

Lightweight hooded jacket finished in Greek Lizard camouflage, crafted from robust Softshell fabric and featuring a StormTex membrane that delivers water resistance up to 8000 mm/m2 and breathability reaching 5000 g/m2. The exterior includes a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, safeguarding against moisture and grime. A lining of soft fleece made with Grid-Tech technology ensures comfort. Provides outstanding wind and rain protection while preserving excellent thermal insulation.

8 spacious pockets

Equipped with 8 functional pockets, the jacket offers versatile storage options:

  • two pockets on the chest
  • two pockets on the upper arms
  • a single pocket located on the left forearm above the wrist
  • two interior pockets, with the left featuring a dedicated headphone port
  • one so-called “poacher’s pocket” situated at the back in the lumbar area

Every pocket is protected by a secure zipper.

Two-way zipper, ventilation openings

A two-way zipper from the renowned brand YKK serves as the primary closure. A protective fabric flap at the collar shields the chin from zipper pinching. Zippered underarm ventilation openings paired with a mesh lining enhance breathability and regulate temperature efficiently.

Adjustable hood, high collar, reflective element

A tall collar paired with an adjustable three-point hood ensures protection and comfort during rain and strong winds. Enhanced defense against the cold comes from Velcro-adjustable cuffs and drawcords located in the hood and at the hem. Increased visibility in low-light environments is provided by a detachable reflective patch on the hood.

Velcro panels

Velcro panels located on the shoulders enable the attachment of emblems such as national flags, unit badges, or Morale Patches, providing a personalized element to the jacket.

Greek Lizard Camouflage

Greek Lizard serves as the standard camouflage design utilized by the Greek Armed Forces, originating directly from the French Lizard pattern (Tap47) widely employed throughout the mid-20th century. The Greek adaptation was specifically modified and refined to suit Greece’s unique environment—predominantly mountainous, rocky terrain with sparse vegetation. The Greek Lizard camouflage features irregular, horizontal stripes in olive green, brown, and black set against a lighter background—typically sand or pale green. While maintaining the characteristic striped arrangement of the French predecessor, the colors have been optimized for Mediterranean landscapes. The Greek Lizard remained the primary camouflage for Greek field uniforms for many years and continues to be in active service today, particularly among ground forces.

    The jacket is of high quality. Good thermal insulation, the ventilation system also does its job. Unfortunately, the rubberized outer sleeve hook-and-loop fasteners come apart and need to be fixed somehow. In summary, the jacket is worth its price, especially during the promotional period :)

    I really liked the Pentagon Artaxes jacket. It is made of high-quality materials, the seams are durable, and the whole thing looks solid.     I ordered XXL and XL, my weight is 97 kg, 180 cm tall, chest 115 cm. The XXL size is perfect. I suggest getting a larger one because the cut is rather for slim people. Honestly, I have a bit of a belly, but it's not too bad. The XL was tight and a sweatshirt under this size wouldn't fit, so please don't rely too much on the size chart, you simply have to try it on. As for the jacket, I am satisfied.

    Very decent jacket in a nice color. The number of pockets is satisfying, and the ability to regulate the temperature thanks to the zippers under the armpits. I had been thinking about buying a similar jacket for some time and I admit that the promotional price convinced me. It will work well in warmer months, but I tested it at minus 10 degrees with some extra clothing underneath and the walk was successful—I didn't get cold. Sizing is okay; at 185 cm and 129 cm chest, size XXL is just right with a bit of room in case you need to wear something underneath. Super fast shipping.
