Pentagon Artaxes Jacket - Grindle Green

Lightweight hooded jacket in Grindle Green, made from durable Softshell fabric, equipped with a StormTex membrane that provides water resistance up to 8000 mm/m2 and breathability up to 5000 g/m2. The outer fabric is coated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish for protection against moisture and dirt. The interior is lined with soft fleece made using Grid-Tech technology. It offers excellent protection against wind and rain while maintaining very good thermal properties.

8 spacious pockets

The jacket features 8 practical pockets:

  • two chest pockets
  • two upper arm pockets
  • one pocket on the left sleeve above the wrist
  • two inner pockets, the left one has a headphone port
  • one so-called poacher’s pocket at the back, at waist level

All pockets are secured with zippers.

Two-way zipper, ventilation openings

The main closure is a two-way zipper by renowned brand YKK. The collar is protected with a fabric flap that prevents the zipper from pinching the chin. Underarm ventilation openings with zip closures and Mesh lining improve breathability and temperature regulation.

Adjustable hood, high collar, reflective element

A high collar combined with an adjustable three-point hood provides comfort in rain and strong wind. Additional protection against cold is provided by hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs and drawcords in the hood and hem. A removable reflective patch on the hood enhances visibility in low-light conditions.

Velcro panels

Velcro panels on the shoulders allow for attaching emblems such as a national flag, unit insignia, or morale patches, giving the jacket a personal touch.

    I am 188 cm tall and weigh 84 kg. I chose this jacket in size L. So far, I have usually worn only a T-shirt underneath, but it's spacious enough that I can layer for colder days without any problem. The jacket has long sleeves – which is a big plus for my height and shoulders. It meets all my expectations: it is well made, durable, and available at a reasonable price. The inner zip pockets are really roomy – I can fit my wallet and phone (iPhone 11) in them. The sleeve pockets are also large, although I mostly keep my keys in them. I haven’t used the large back pocket yet, but the chest pockets easily fit a hat and gloves. I haven’t tested its waterproofness yet – I didn’t buy it with rain in mind, and if needed, it’s light enough to wear under a rain jacket without any problem. I think it will work great for traveling, as I can safely store all the essentials and documents in it. I hope this review helps.

    The jacket is of high quality. Good thermal insulation, the ventilation system also does its job. Unfortunately, the rubberized outer sleeve hook-and-loop fasteners come apart and need to be fixed somehow. In summary, the jacket is worth its price, especially during the promotional period :)

The jacket provides excellent protection against wind and rain, and it works well in temperatures from light frost to spring days.     I really liked the Pentagon Artaxes jacket. It is made of high-quality materials, the seams are durable, and the whole thing looks solid. It is lightweight and comfortable, well-fitted, without unnecessary bulkiness. It looks very good and gives the impression of being resistant to tougher conditions.     I ordered XXL and XL, my weight is 97 kg, 180 cm tall, chest 115 cm. The XXL size is perfect. I suggest getting a larger one because the cut is rather for slim people. Honestly, I have a bit of a belly, but it's not too bad. The XL was tight and a sweatshirt under this size wouldn't fit, so please don't rely too much on the size chart, you simply have to try it on. As for the jacket, I am satisfied.

    I've had this jacket for over 5 years and the only thing that broke was the Velcro on the sleeve cuffs, which I fixed with fishing line and I'm still wearing it. I wear it in really tough conditions and it works great. I recommend it.

    Very decent jacket in a nice color. The number of pockets is satisfying, and the ability to regulate the temperature thanks to the zippers under the armpits. I had been thinking about buying a similar jacket for some time and I admit that the promotional price convinced me. It will work well in warmer months, but I tested it at minus 10 degrees with some extra clothing underneath and the walk was successful—I didn't get cold. Sizing is okay; at 185 cm and 129 cm chest, size XXL is just right with a bit of room in case you need to wear something underneath. Super fast shipping.

    The jacket is quite cool. It serves its purpose, but the Velcro disqualified it. They don't hold and keep coming undone. You can't adjust the sleeve. The jacket is nice and practical, but unfortunately I had to sell it because of the Velcro.
