Gen V3.0 quickly became my favorite jacket, and its collaboration with MJC is a big advantage. The ability to detach the insulated lining and wear both elements separately makes the jacket offer great value for money.
Pentagon GEN V 3.0 Jacket - Coyote Mix
Hooded jacket crafted in Coyote Mix and fitted with a StormTex membrane. GEN V 3.0 delivers versatile performance for all seasons with the inclusion of a removable liner.
Durable nylon, StormTex membrane, ventilation
Constructed from 100% lightweight and robust nylon, the jacket features an inner zipper designed for the rapid attachment of the included insulated liner (internal jacket). Outfitted with a StormTex membrane, the jacket delivers water resistance of 5000 mm/m2 and breathability rated at 5000 g/m2/24h. All seams are taped to maximize waterproof effectiveness in wet conditions. Enhanced ventilation openings equipped with two-way zippers increase airflow and optimize thermal regulation with the environment.
7 spacious pockets
Featuring 7 functional pockets, the jacket is designed for optimal utility:
- two traditional hip storage pockets
- two pockets located on the chest
- an internal pocket specifically for documents
All outer jacket pockets are secured with zippers, while the liner includes two hip pockets without closures.
YKK zipper, thermal strip
The primary closure utilizes a high-quality two-way YKK zipper, shielded by a dual thermal flap. This construction optimizes heat retention inside the jacket and offers effective protection against penetrating winds through the zipper.
Hood, stand-up collar, adjustable cuffs
Equipped with a stand-up collar offering wind protection and concealing a hood, the model delivers reliable shelter in harsh conditions. Soft, insulating fleece lines both the collar and hip pockets for enhanced comfort. Velcro-adjustable cuffs ensure extra defense against the cold.

The three-layer nylon membrane, which provides high breathability and water resistance, allows moisture formed on the skin to evaporate during exertion, while protecting against soaking during harsh weather conditions.

The jacket is good for its thickness, although in very low temperatures it's worth combining it with an extra layer – despite downsizing (as per the reviews), all the items still fit. The only downside is the lining collar, which changed color when rain got under the outer layer. Even in heavy rain, I had no issue with soaking, and my hands stayed warm thanks to the large fleece-lined pockets – only the inner chest pocket is too roomy and heavy items make the lining slide lower than the outer layer. Nevertheless, I recommend this jacket, especially at the promotional price.

What convinced me to purchase was the high quality of the materials used, the careful workmanship, the color scheme, attention to detail, and the simple, minimalist style. Ergonomics and functionality go hand in hand here (pocket placement, liner, ventilation, Velcro on the sleeves). Since I prefer slightly looser clothing, the XXL size turned out to be a bit too small, so I'll try a larger size. I hope it will be OK.

Very nice jacket. Unfortunately, I received a defective piece (a poorly sewn hanging loop in the lining). I had to return it. The refund was hassle-free. Size S is good for 176cm, 76kg. Overall, if it weren't for the manufacturing defect, it's a nice product. I recommend the seller.

Great jacket, light, with a lining that easily handles the winter conditions we currently have for most of the season, although in subzero temperatures it's worth using thermal underwear or a thicker fleece. The hood hidden in the collar is not lined with anything, but the material itself is quite stiff, it's not some thin rag, and it fits well on the head. High collar – brilliant, fits perfectly around the neck and nape, you can forget about scarves, turtlenecks, etc. Height 178 cm, medium build, I chose size L.

Well-made and surprisingly warm (for its thickness) jacket. The cut is rather loose (there's easily enough room for an extra fleece underneath), but unfortunately because of this cut I had to send it back. I am 177 cm tall but rather slim (68 kg) and ordered XS as a trial (no S left in black). The jacket size would have been quite OK for me (still plenty of room), but unfortunately the sleeves are definitely too short (or maybe my arms are like a gibbon's :). I sent it back with regret, because the jacket seemed very practical and warm.

The jacket is great. It costs a bit, but at this price you actually get two jackets, because the lining acts as the second one. The jacket is thicker than I expected, but that's a plus. Before buying, I measured myself carefully to avoid having to send it back and order another size. I hit the mark perfectly. It fits me wonderfully, as if it were tailored. That's another big plus. Another one for the ventilation under the arms. Two more for the large number of pockets and the now traditional lightning-fast shipping. I was unlucky because I ordered several things when this jacket in black was not available at all, and a few hours later it appeared in the online store. After a few days of hesitation, I placed another order so that someone—or rather however many 'someones'—wouldn't buy it out, because winter is coming and jacket purchases among Poles are in full swing. As for the size, you should probably order a smaller one. I usually wear XL, but this time I ordered L. In any case, it's worth buying. Really solid (and double!) piece of jacket.

It would be good if the brand name embroidery on the outer layer of the jacket was sealed from the inside. Medium or longer rain soaks through to the inside of the left chest. System failure :)

Jacket matches the description, the size is perfect, everything is sewn correctly, the zippers run smoothly, I see no downsides. Warm, although it's not particularly thickly sewn.

It works well on cold days, I recommend it.

Very light, comfortable, rustles a bit but keeps you warm.

Comfortable, warm, does not restrict movement. A jacket worth recommending.

It's not cheap but you get a great jacket for it.
