Prabos Grizzly GTX Boots - Black

The footwear is comfortable, the sole is soft and has good grip! However, the footwear is not intended for off-road usage and doesn't withstand even light off-road! The leather of the shoes is very soft and starts to tear near the sole already on the first day of wearing. The insoles (the foil material at the bottom of the insole) are generally of such quality that they crumble on the second day of wearing the footwear! The leather on the tongue of the footwear does not even withstand the load from tightening the laces! Very disappointing, because I thought this footwear would be of good quality, but I'll have to look for others!

The shoes are warm but stating -50°C as the limit is an exaggeration. They do not keep warm to such a degree. A big drawback is the insole. At the bottom near the toes, it is lined with aluminum foil which started to crack and crumble after a few outings. Sharp splinters are forming, hopefully, they won't cut the membrane...

I bought the shoes at the end of August, I used them in +30°C, sweating is normal under these conditions, so it didn't bother me. Then September, used intensively for 2 weeks of the field, micro abrasions on the heel and outer part of the big toe, then used at the base until mid-October and a week of field camp in the rain, in November also used during field exercises in mud and rain, now, when snow has fallen and the temperature is below zero, I don't feel their properties (described above). The shoes let in moisture after 4-6 hours of service, once I was close to getting I degree frostbite at -14°C. The only advantages of these shoes are the sole, which really can save you from injury (I mean slipping and twisting), the self-sealing upper (a few times I fell into mud or water up to 18 cm deep, they did not get wet). After walking about 800 km in them in 3 months, I can say that the price of 1100+ PLN for these shoes is overpriced. Personally, if I had to buy them, I would pay at most 600 PLN for them. The shoes themselves, if they were not advertised as something amazing and had a realistic price, I would buy them, but due to the amount of exaggeration and false information in the description, I do not recommend these shoes, a rating of 2 is fair. Shoes that should cost a maximum of 700 PLN in December 2023, after 6 hours of service at -3°C start to let moisture in, after 13 hours of service at -14°C my toes were blue, 10 minutes stationary and the whole foot was frozen, only in constant motion is the shoe warm (2 pairs of Merino socks on the foot). The plus is the sole, it isolates from the ground and does not slip, which has saved my ankles and knees several times, the foot is firmly planted in the shoe, which at this price is standard. Rating: max 2 stars.

I bought these boots for myself. They're light. They're warm. I'm satisfied. The only issue was with the sizes. My foot is 28.5 cm. First I took size 43 - too small. Swapped for 44. Better than the ones they gave out in England))

Extremely comfortable and warm shoes. I’ve only walked a dozen or so kilometers so far, but I can already say they are worth their price.

They are reliable in the field. They don't leak, and your feet don't sweat. The only downside is the price, but quality comes at a cost.
