A versatile tool integrating the capabilities of both a knife and a shovel, particularly valuable as an accessory for metal detector kits.
The blade is crafted from 440 stainless steel, featuring a smooth edge on one side and a serrated edge on the other. A pointed tip enables effortless penetration into the soil, while engraved measurements on the blade allow for precise depth readings in both millimeters and inches.
Full-tang construction (with a steel spine extending the full length and width of the handle scales) ensures exceptional durability and resistance to breakage. The wooden handle scales are securely fastened with metal rivets.
A steel guard offers protection from accidental hand slippage onto the blade. An opening is located at the end of the handle for attaching a safety lanyard.
A nylon sheath and a sharpening stone are included.

The knife-shovel looks solid. The sporadic opinions here and there about the sheath's lack of durability seem exaggerated. The interior is lined with plastic (polyamide?) which even a serrated blade would have trouble cutting. I'm only puzzled by the purpose of the ruler, or rather its marking (inches and millimeters). It's neither full, nor millimeters, so the manufacturer could have skipped this pseudo-measure. Yes, I know it's not a linear ruler, but when I see that 150 mm equals 6 inches, I wonder where the 2.4 mm went ;-)

The knife-shovel does the job, it's indestructible!!! The only flaw is that the holster attachment can slip off the belt, I've searched for mine twice already, so now I also tie the holster to my belt, but the knife-shovel itself is really worth recommending!!!

The knife-shovel is comfortable, handy. My brother-in-law and I went to the forest and had to cut the roots of grasses and bushes. It comes in handy, as with a typical entrenching tool, you have to stand up and bend over. But with the knife-shovel, you can do it squatting. Convenient.

As for the knife's workmanship - excellent, super sharp, massive, a bit heavy but therefore durable. As for the sheath - poor, after a dozen or so uses the sides will be cut. Strong, old-school handle. Cuts roots well, for digging definitely recommended.
