Protektor Grom Light Boots - Navy Blue

Rugged tactical boots featuring a reinforced structure focused on ankle joint protection. The high-cut upper is crafted from velour leather. Outfitted with a quick-lacing system.

High upper made of velour leather

Featuring a high upper crafted from velour leather, the boots offer excellent breathability. A leather insert extends from the heel to the lacing system, providing reinforced protection for the ankle joint. At the top of the upper, a soft velour collar wraps around the calf to prevent chafing from the rigid edge.

Foot protection and support during movement

Both the heel and toe zones feature reinforcement with an extra layer of leather, along with rubber overmolded onto the sole, delivering reliable impact protection. Such construction safeguards the user's feet from impacts with curbs, exposed rebar, rocks, or other solid surfaces. The inner and outer edges of the foot are well protected against injury, a feature that proves crucial during high-intensity use in demanding environments.

Flexible PU sole

The outsole is crafted from polyurethane (PU/PU), distinguished by superior flexibility, excellent abrasion resistance, and durability against oils, greases, as well as diluted acids and alkalis. The tread pattern has been engineered to deliver optimal grip on a range of urban terrains, including asphalt, concrete, cobblestone, gravel, and crushed stone. Owing to its specialized design, the outsole guarantees stable and effortless movement both on level surfaces and on inclines such as steps or ladders.

Certified NATO-grade quality

Protektor S.A., the producer of Grom boots, possesses the AQAP 2110:2006 certificate, attesting to full compliance with NATO standards regarding the quality and performance of military footwear. Users can rely on these boots to uphold the stringent criteria required for tactical footwear engineered for demanding environments and rigorous missions.

Shoes for a wider foot or with a higher instep. The length was perfect for me, but in terms of volume the shoes are loose, so even with the laces tightened to the max, my heel kept moving sideways and upwards, causing my socks to constantly rub against the heel of the shoe. I put on a second pair of thick technical socks and problem solved :) I walked around Tenerife on trails and in the city in 20-degree weather, wearing 70% merino socks with thick 'synthetic' trekking socks on top, and my foot breathed perfectly. The shoes have no cushioning, but that's obvious at purchase. The sole isn't too soft, so rocks aren't a problem. Great lace loops—it's super quick to tighten or loosen the laces.

The shoes work great in urban conditions. They are lightweight and comfortable, so you can easily wear them all day without feeling tired. They also breathe well, which is especially useful on warmer days.

The shoes are definitely nice, made of velour, the sole is resistant to abrasion, impacts, simply indestructible... and that's where the positives end. The shoes are very uncomfortable, the sole is stiff (like from work boots), I have tried various insoles and my foot moves around, my toes hurt, after a short walk I feel as if my foot was made of wood. My feet are terribly tired after wearing these shoes. I bought three pairs and sold two of them. I don't know where these positive reviews are coming from. I bought tactical Merrells and they are great, I am satisfied. Grom Protector shoes are poorly designed, pretending to be tactical or hiking shoes. I do not recommend.

The shoes are really comfortable, but it's worth trying them on before buying – in my case, only a size smaller than usual turned out to be perfect. I've been using them for over half a year and nothing bad has happened to them, no wear or signs of major use. They are light, don’t tire the feet even after long walks, and work well both for everyday use and in rough terrain. In my opinion, a very successful purchase.

Attention, review after 5 months. As for the shoes, they are top quality and additionally comfortable. If it weren't for the fact that the color of the rubber is definitely too light (the "leather" gets dirty faster and it's very visible).

I've been using the shoes for over a year; there are absolutely no signs of use. You hardly feel you have them on. Good for city use and hiking. Highly recommend.

Shoes purchased in August 2024 for summer use. The shoes are brilliant in their simplicity, light and comfortable. All-day walking is not tiring. After wearing them from early spring to late autumn, there are no significant signs of wear—just a bit lighter in color. Worn in the forest at work—I'm a forester. They go through a lot—branches, twigs, grass, dew, rain, mud. Yes, they leak—unglazed leather. I bought them consciously, because they dry quickly, sometimes even on the foot. I had branded Altama Jungle Assault, after the first trip in the forest the fabric inserts were snatched, after two years torn and ragged. Here, no damage, leather intact, sole without signs of wear. The sole doesn't slip on wet grass or mud, cleans quickly. For me, excellent shoes at a good price. I can honestly recommend them.

The shoes are really very okay. Comfortable, well made from good quality leather. Your feet don't sweat in them even during high temperatures we've had this year. The price is reasonable. Really worth buying.

Great, durable, and extremely comfortable shoes. I've been using them for over 2 years, and there are no signs of wear. Solidly made, really high-quality materials, and at an attractive promotional price.

I really like these shoes. They are comfortable. It feels like walking in sandals, just enclosed ones. I bought the same black ones in size 44 and they were fine. Be careful with the tongue in the shoes: once I had a pair with very hard leather tongues that made my feet hurt after tying them, but in another pair the tongue was very soft and fit better.

Brilliant shoes! I walked in them for several days in the desert, wearing thick socks and long pants. Even after sinking deep into the dunes, at the end of the day, there wasn’t a single grain of sand in the shoes! Like all leather shoes, it's worth breaking them in before longer use.

Another pair I use. For hot weather, I don't think I've had anything better. They needed to be broken in, but after a few hours they adjusted to my foot. The quick lacing system really works—just pull the laces and you're done. Great summer shoes for a good price.

Perfect shoes not only for summer but also for the transitional seasons. The leather immediately molds to the foot, never gave me blisters. They absorb ground impact very well. The best advertisement is that I'm buying another pair, since I already wore out the soles on my previous ones after about two years of use.

Shoes from the Polish company Grom. For me, that's important. In my opinion, their appearance is top class. For such high shoes, they are very comfortable. Unfortunately, I had to send them back because the size was too small. I waited quite a while for size 42 but it didn't appear, so I was forced to buy elsewhere :-/

Let me say this: the price-to-quality ratio is really good—you won't buy much better shoes for such a price. I've been using them for a good 7-8 months, and nothing has happened to them. As for comfort, without good insoles under the foot and heel, it will be hard to do even 7km. BUT with insoles, you can walk from morning to evening. Lacing is quick, and the laces are surprisingly solid (even though they don't look it). I read some comments and don't understand what people mean that your foot 'floats' in these shoes. After a whole day in the forest—even in August—I never felt that way. As for the leather, I have no complaints or negative opinions—I walk in them with no care and nothing happens. So overall, the shoes are good, but could be a bit more comfortable—of course, they're not a dream come true. If you're looking for the cheapest shoes of this kind, I can highly recommend them. And of course, like any shoe, you need to break them in a bit, but these will fit well after 5-7 outings.
