Percussion caps with a 4 mm diameter, designed for use with black powder firearms equipped with percussion locks and produced by German manufacturer RWS, stand out due to their superior craftsmanship, straightforward use, and a highly efficient ignition charge that greatly reduces the risk of misfire. Featuring an increased ignition charge compared to standard caps, these are especially suited for firearms featuring a long or curved flash channel.

Firearms utilizing this lock mechanism quickly dominated the market, effectively replacing earlier flintlock variants. Method of use
To load a black powder firearm, begin by adding black powder into the barrel or chamber, followed by inserting a wad and bullet. Afterward, attach a percussion cap onto the nipple, preparing the firearm for use. When the trigger is pulled, the hammer hits the percussion cap, producing ignition. The generated flame passes through the nipple to the chamber containing the black powder, resulting in discharge of the bullet or projectile.
In accordance with firearms and ammunition regulations, replicas of black powder firearms manufactured prior to 1885 can be owned in Poland without a permit. Accessories for black powder firearms, including percussion caps available in our assortment, may also be purchased without the need for a permit.
