Very good shoes. I use them every day at work. They are very comfortable and light. Also tested during mountain hikes – they didn’t get wet from the snow and are very comfortable. Excellent lacing system – you can quickly loosen the shoes at the bus stop and then tie them back quickly. I highly recommend them.

Cordura is a material woven from durable nylon fibers, developed by DuPont. The structure of the material provides lightness and abrasion resistance, as well as weather resistance. Due to its properties, Cordura is widely used in tactical equipment.
Ortholite is an insole with an advanced structure that provides effective moisture wicking and optimal air circulation. The flexible construction adapts to the foot's profile, and the antibacterial properties inhibit bacterial growth and odor formation.
Gore-Tex is a thin membrane made of polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), which features a microporous structure. Its structure makes it highly water- and wind-resistant, as well as breathable. The membrane's pores are 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapor, which allows it to efficiently wick moisture to the outside. Gore-Tex is widely used in the production of outdoor clothing and footwear.
Contagrip is a technology developed by Salomon, used in the construction of the outsole. It is based on the combination of a special rubber compound and tread profile, creating a flexible underside in order to achieve the most precise parameters for grip and stability on varied terrain. The sole comes in 5 versions, adapted to a specific type of surface.
Protective Rubber Toe Cap is an additional over-molded plastic protection located on the tip of the shoe to protect the toe and nose of the shoe from mechanical damage.
SensiFit is a technology that uses a special upper design to provide the foot with better stability and protection. The side panel used, located from the midsole to the lacing system, allows the shoe to fit comfortably and precisely to the shape of the foot.
Quicklace is a quick lacing system patented by Salomon. It allows for simple and quick adjustment of the laces with a special clamp buckle, which allows the shoe to fit comfortably and be pulled on and off efficiently.

I can only describe my experience after a short period of use; we'll see how it looks in the long run. For now, the shoes are very light and durable, the feet feel almost wrapped, you don't feel them when wearing, and they adapt quickly. The sizing is correct, but someone somewhere wrote that the narrowing towards the toe box might squeeze your toes, and that's actually true—small toes are slightly squeezed at first, but for me, they broke in nicely. I wear these shoes during 24-hour shifts with no possibility of taking them off; I've already done around 10 shifts, so I think it'll be fine. Getting them on sale for just under 800 złoty was definitely fair. One note: the box could be wrapped in stretch film or somehow secured; the shoes arrived in a box with a cracked top, literally sealed with just two pieces of tape. Other than that, no negatives regarding the product. I recommend it.

The Salomon XA Forces MID GTX EN - Black are exceptionally solid and durable tactical shoes, valued for their waterproof Gore-Tex membrane and stability on difficult terrain thanks to the 3D Advanced Chassis construction. Users praise the high quality of workmanship, comfort, and durability, making them ideal for outdoor use and demanding conditions.

The shoes fit the foot well (although the heel sticks out slightly), the lacing system is very easy and quick to use (I hope it will be durable throughout the period of use), and the shoes themselves are quite light. Perfect for daily walks on flat terrain. I intend to test them during a week-long trek in the mountains to form a complete opinion.

I believe I have already had enough time to thoroughly assess the pros and cons of these shoes and share my observations. Firstly, if we compare this model with other Salomon shoes of the same size (which I use), the Shelter model is about a centimeter shorter, and the others are half a centimeter shorter. In these shoes, your toe reaches the back. Conclusion: if you don't plan to wear thicker socks, choose a smaller size. In the first days of use, the shoes were quite stiff, especially around the joint, but after some time they broke in and became almost unnoticeable. Indoors, they are very comfortable, and outdoors they perform excellently in rain and mud. The waterproofing works perfectly. These are not classic sports shoes, but solid and durable work footwear that can be considered exceptionally reliable. As for the cons – the quick-lace system could be stronger, although so far it does its job. I emphasize once again – don't be discouraged in the first week, breaking in the shoes is necessary. In summary: the footwear is exceptionally durable, solid, and made for intensive use. If you're looking for soft and light shoes – this model will not be suitable. But if you care about longevity and durability – this is a bullseye.

Salomon XA Forces MID GTX EN shoes are extremely comfortable, lightweight, and durable. The Gore-Tex membrane provides waterproofing and breathability, perfect for tough conditions. I recommend them!
-
Very comfortable and lightweight tactical/trekking shoes. The membrane is quite good, after impregnation it doesn't absorb anything at all, no chafing or pinching, and the lacing system is excellent. The only downside is that they get dirty very easily, but on the other hand, they're also easy to clean.

Super light for tactical shoes, I've already done about 100 km and not a single blister. Because of the GTX they're a bit warm in the heat, but that's the trade-off—you get something for something. Water doesn't get inside, and they cushion the foot well and grip the ground.

I bought these shoes mainly due to problems I had with wearing higher models with sidewalls, and I have to admit, it was a bullseye. They are very comfortable to wear; nothing pinches or hurts even with prolonged use. The price is high, but in my opinion, it is completely adequate for the quality – it's hard to find other shoes of similar height that meet MON requirements. A big plus is the lacing system – very comfortable and practical. The insoles are soft and pleasant to the touch, which additionally increases wearing comfort. I am currently testing the outer material during daily use in the field, so it's still too early to evaluate its durability. I'm also glad that size 39 was available – unfortunately, quite rare, so that's another plus. At the moment, I have no objections and can wholeheartedly recommend this model. We shall see how they perform after the warranty period ends.

Tested on the trail to Bukowe Berdo (12.10.2024), the day after heavy rains in the area. They performed excellently. Stiff, durable, they handle muddy ascents well. Comfortable. So far, the best tactical boots I've owned after "a few" years of running in various terrains. Perfect on rocks. The sole is durable enough that you don't feel sharp edges when stepping on them. I recommend them with a clear conscience. Soon another test in much tougher conditions.
