The stone works perfectly for putting on a cutting edge and for preliminary sharpening, or for touching up a slightly dull knife. Quite durable, it survived several really blunt knives. For proper sharpening, stones with a higher grit are needed.
Sanrenmu Series A Sharpening Stone- 240/800
Dual-sided ceramic sharpening stone featuring 240 and 800 grit surfaces. Measuring 18 by 6 centimeters, the abrasive area provides ample space for sharpening. The 240 grit side serves for aggressive sharpening and restoring heavily worn blades, while the 800 grit side delivers a refined edge. A non-slip base is included, ensuring the stone remains secure during operation.
Instructions for use
Immerse the stone in water or apply sharpening oil. Position the whetstone on a stable, flat surface. To hone the blade, slide it across the stone with light pressure, working each side of the knife alternately. When sharpening the edge, maintain the correct angle of 15st.-30st. for optimal results.

Very good stone. In fact, I've never used this kind of 'sharpener' for knives before, but it works very well so it's worth buying (the stone should be soaked before sharpening).
-
The stone is great for keeping knives in good condition. Of course, you have to soak the stone before use, but that's normal, so you have to dedicate a little time. I recommend it.
-
Perfect for basic uses. Thanks to the two grits, we can both even out and re-sharpen, and thanks to the rubber, sharpening is more comfortable since it stabilizes the stone.
-
Good quality; with this grit, you can handle almost any knife for initial sharpening—the stone is OK. But if you want more, you'll need at least 1000, 2000, and 3000.
-
A good and effective whetstone for reasonable money. It can even restore heavily worn blades. I use it for sharpening kitchen knives, folders and pocket knives, so it’s a very versatile product.
-
If you want to keep your outdoor knives sharp, this one sharpener should be enough, maybe with a piece of leather. The 240 will take care of a damaged edge, and the 800 will get it sharp to a decent level.
-
Very nice sharpener. Has everything you need to get your knives in good shape. I think the price is fair, and the quality-to-price ratio is attractive in my opinion. An ideal gift idea.
-
These are the basic grits for sharpening a knife. It's worth buying as a set with higher grit stones to achieve a mirror-finish cutting edge. I definitely recommend it to everyone.
-
I needed a stone that has two grits for leveling and finishing. This one performs that function perfectly. Additionally, thanks to the rubber, I can finally sharpen comfortably without fidgeting with a sliding stone. Great product. It doesn’t wear out excessively.
-
The stone is as described. Sharpens well. Lower grit is hard. Good for restoring the cutting surface from all kinds of nicks. Higher, i.e., 800, might not take the edge all the way to razor-sharp, but with it, you can already cut or whittle. I also recommend ordering other versions with higher grits if you want a razor-sharp edge and perfection.
-
The whetstone is very good. However, the stone wears out quickly, but maybe that’s because of the damaged knives I had, which I managed to sharpen for the first time thanks to it.
-
Before buying, I read the reviews, people praised it, I bought it and I will praise it too. Good whetstone, a bit of skill and the knives are as they should be — sharp. I recommend it.
-
A high-quality sharpening stone. For knives with long blades, tactical axes, this is exactly what you need. The stone has two different grits on both sides. The stone is covered with rubber pads at the corners. I recommend it.
-
I've already had my first sharpening and the result surprised me. Despite the low grit, the difference in slicing food is amazing. I'm almost scared to think what it will be like with a higher grit. Very good for learning how to sharpen.
