Military rucksack with a 15-liter capacity in a green shade. Constructed from lightweight, highly durable 1000D and 500D Cordura fabric. Designed to be fully compatible with the MOLLE mounting system, the backpack’s wide flap structure enables fast and easy access to the gear inside.

Durable 1000D and 500D Cordura construction

Major portions of the back utilize rugged, abrasion-resistant 1000D Cordura fabric. Areas less susceptible to wear, such as the rear pocket for the foam insert and the sides of the flap, are constructed from lightweight 500D Cordura.

Main compartment, side pockets, flat pocket on the front

A generous main compartment is secured by a wide flap with dual buckle closures, ensuring quick and easy access to gear. The interior contains a dedicated pocket for a hydration insert with an exit port for a drinking tube. The backpack is also equipped with two large side pockets, ideal for carrying a canteen or water bottle. A low-profile front pocket is secured by a zipper for additional storage. An included removable foam pad at the back enhances structure and, when detached, can function as a makeshift seat or supplementary field insulation.

PALS system straps, compression straps and Velcro

A multitude of PALS system straps enables the attachment of extra pouches or pockets to the backpack for enhanced modularity. Compression straps facilitate volume adjustment or secure additional equipment. The Velcro panel on the flap is designed for mounting any patch or insignia.

PALS system

PALS (Pouch Attachment Ladder System) is a modular mounting system for pockets and pouches, used in the MOLLE system. It consists of horizontally sewn rows of 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide, fixed spacing webbing (such as on a backpack) and vertical webbing for attachment and threading (on a pocket). This system is usually equipped with snaps, which further secures the pinned items.

    I chose this backpack because I like the Savotta brand and I was looking for something suitable for day trips and walks with my dog. For this use, it works well. However, I gave it one star less because I'm not a fan of the flap – I don't understand why the solution from the 25L model wasn't used. The biggest downside is the lack of adjustment for the flap fastenings, which are fixed, making the packing capacity quite limited and you can't overload it as needed. On the positive side, I attached my Askare with g-hooks without any problems and everything works together very well.

    The workmanship of the backpack inspires great confidence. Savotta uses the highest quality materials—1000D Cordura in critical areas ensures exceptional resistance to abrasion, while 500D Cordura in less exposed parts (e.g., sides of the flap) reduces weight without compromising durability.
